Interesting! 345HP

I ran one the other day and with my minor mods, we were nose to nose. I sure wasn't pulling away but neither was he.

Sad, for all that money, no more performance. However, I guess if you're looking for performance, you're not looking at Audi anyway.

The ONLY Audi that has ever or will ever rock my world is the Audi R8. I got to ride in one of those bad boys! OMG! It was soo good I wanted a cigarette! O-60 in 4.6 seconds, 317 lbs of torque.. heheheeee... I wish I would hurry up and win the lottery. I'd buy one!!

I, personally, like Audi's (German cars in general) - just too bad they have so many electrical problems.

For me, I really liked the last RS6 and have always liked the RS4 Avante - which was never available in the US unfortunately - not that I could afford it...

Some good videos:

The only Audi I would get is the A8. In the Garage where I park my car, there is an older A8 (2003-2005?) and it looks great.

The new Phaeton, A8L, flying spur VW line are the only Audi's I really want. I like the older A8's but they just do not compare to the newer ones.

A 2006 A8L W12 would be perfect for me. While not quite the Phaeton it is very good and light. It would be a perfect winter car.

My buddy just got a (new to him) 06 S4. We have already set a date to meet a the track to realy see what is up. The track does not re-open till march so I still have time for a few mods to show him what the MM is made of. I do expect him to beat me but he should for the price he paid. And allwd does not help either.

I put my wife in her first Audi in 99 (A6). She's had 3 0f them and is now on her first A8L. Stunning car, but not a Marauder.

We all like something different in cars. The A8L is luxury and finess. The Marauder is soul.

Sorry folks....But ALL of the Audis look the same, and ALL of them are BORING!!!

:sleepy:

I'm a gearhead and I still have to look close at the badges to tell if I'm looking at an A4, A6, A8,.....a VW Passat, a VW Phaeton or.................a Ford 500!

I'd hate to have my exclusive Audi A8 confused with a Ford 500!....errrrr....Taurus!

While the Audi may be german, it does not compete with the BMW or MB (higher end models) at all. Keeping in mind that this is the same company that brought you the S5000 back in the mid eighties. Perhaps one of the most trouble plauged vehicles ever sold.

No I wasn't interested in one. Just thought it interesting that this brand new machine with a huge sticker could only hang with the old MM.

My money has been better spent on the Marauder.

That is very true. I drove lots of Audi's when I was in Europe. My impression was always the same : an excellent tool loaded with a lot of technology and having a good image. But no soul and not that much fun to drive...

In England the Mercedes were 10's, in the 80's and 90's, After the Roller and Bentley the Kings. The Jaguars back then were the Jacks except for the XJ220 which was the Ace. Mc Laren F1 another Ace. Lister Leman a true Queen. Audi's were sold 8's and 9's but back then BMWs were barely 3's. Some of the then newer 5 series were just barely 5's. Made people look but largely ignored. 3 Series were treated worse than Granada's. Fords and Chevy's were 6 and 7's. Mini's were always 6's Coopers 9's. CV's and Fiats made up the bulk of the 2's. My Toyota was a 4. Least likely car to be stolen 3 years running. Kind of ugly no real power and slow. But better than a BMW.
