No, but I came close to hiring on with the Rhodesian Army back in the 70's after I got out of our Army. Sometimes I'm sorry I never did that.

I'm not old enough to be an actual member, But I am an Honorary member. More of the financial support then physical side of things, after the plane ride.

Find myself in agreement with that kind of thing but disappointed that it didn't continue after only a couple set backs.

It is kind of funny me being so pro England and all and England being such a great source of modern mercenary soldiers.

THE WILD GEESE

Itwas 1691 and the time of the October moon. General Sarsfield's Irish troops, withdrawing from the siege of Limerick, made their way down the banks of the Shannon river. Exile under the Frehcn flag and service in the army of Louis XIV was preferable to a life under the English yoke.

...

Such were the vanguard of the innumerable Irish soldiers who sought fame and fortune as mercenary soldiers in continental armies during the course of the next two centuries.

...

I didn't include the stuff that you are not supposed to know if you don't already.

Not me, but a friend of mine did join the Rhodesian Army back then.
