OK the orginal picture still works, same procedure must be something amiss with my other picture. I'm going to try a third picture.

OK, the third picture works, procedures OK, now what's wrong with the pictures I take? Here goes again using my picture. Failed again, now for another of my older picutres.

No help, let's try another of my pictures, It looks like the one's that I took with my camera and posted on my computer then posted to the gallery are not working.

Hey, Marauderjack; Yes it does seem my pictures from my computer to the .net photo gallery are just showing up as a red X. All the pictures that posted, regardless of size, were from other people's cameras/computers or reprints from a previous internet download.

What to do?

I don't know how to post a link to a larger photo....I just resize to 100KB or less and do the thumb nail thing!!:confused:

I'll have to figure it out someday......Mary will help you when she arrives I'm sure!!:beer:

You described precisely what I'm trying to do. I've succeed with any picture that doesn't come from my camera/computer. Even though they post to the .NET gallery. All I get is a red X. The reason your not seeing them is that I'm mostly editing them out. The post above is an example of a red X flop.

OK to post a picture from anwhere in our gallery do the following:

1. select the picture you want to put into your new post from the gallery.
2. click on the picture to expand it.
3. locate the BB image code line which is a bit down the page
4. Type in the code exactly as shown ( including the and at the beginning and ending of the code line) to your post narrative body, not the attachment manager block.
5. click and you should have a big picture in your post.

Try it now if you have time.
I'll go to your gallery at get a picture also.

OK Marauderjack, I was able to get pictures from your gallery and put them as thumbnails. Expandable when clicked on.

Here's how I did it. Not sure if this is the fastest way but it works for me.

You must first establish two windows. One from your picture gallery and the second window displaying a reply page (either full reply or quick reply) to the thread you are posting to.

On the picture page, select the picture you want and right click, then select copy from the drop down menu. The picture is now in the ether. now go to your replay page (second window) and put the cursor somewhere in the body of the page where you want the picture to reside. Now from the tool bar on top select edit and then paste. Voila.

Try it and let us know if it works.

If you copy and paste from the BB image code line, it should already have the "img" leader and trailer codes. I find that easier & faster than typing out the long code.

I generally resize my pics to 1/4 size before posting to the gallery. That saves space in my member gallery and also keeps the pic display at about the 3" x 4" size inside the post.

It is nice to see pics of an NTM meet where I can actually identify some of the members from prior national meets .... Pat, cruzer, Redster, James79Stang ... who did I miss??

Pat - where are those pictures posted? I didn't find them in your gallery or the NTM gallery? Post the full page where the photo is and not just the picture code so I can find the pictures and take it from there.

Mary, I'm making some progress, I was able to copy and paste as Charley and others suggested.
(sometimes the simple things escape me)

That gives me a thumb nail (pictured above) that will expand.
However, I would like to get the larger version without a thumb nail on the post, if possible.

The pictures in question are on the North Texas Marauder gallery, page 3, top two rows.
