My neighbor who races a little stopped this morning and said a bunch of MMs were at the track last night. Wish I had known since it is only 30 mins away. He also said he was very suprised at some of the times and one guy with a black one was having a hard time getting it to straighten out the first hundred feet or so.

James, I can’t believe we were able to keep this from you. We had over 3 dozen Marauders there. We’ve been planning this for a year. It was a great time. The whole event was sponsored by Jerry and Lidio, Eaton, Nitto, Lenco and Weldcraft. They came down with a bunch of semi’s and installation people. Jerry gave everyone there a free Twin Screw. Lidio had a truck full of free built long blocks. They managed to get them install in each car. Lidio dyno tuned each one of them on the spot. Lenco came down and installed a built trans in each car that was there. Eaton was handing out limited slip diffs to everyone there like they were candy. The track had “open bar” on all their race fuels. They encouraged us to bring gas cans to take some home. Nitto had free drag radial for everyone and Weld Craft had a truck full of them mounted on custom widened Marauder wheels.
Speaking of open bar, Jerry set us up with Outback for a nice catered dinner. The rest of the night we had open bar for beer and soft drinks, so we could race without getting a DUI. Marty showed up to represent us, in case someone got in trouble at the track.
The track was awesome. They put VHT down before each and every pass. Just before we ran, a cold front came through and dropped the temps down to 50 degrees with 0 % humidity. There was a tail wind of 30 MPH all nite. Every car there was in the 10’s, except the 14 of them in the 9’s(they opened up the track to ¼ mile just before we got there).
After we broke all the records, Hooters sent all their waitresses (except the ugly ones) to the track to body wash all our cars. It was quite a sight, considering the cold front just passed.
Actually James, I was the only MM there, mine and it is red. No intentional snub. It was a last minute decision that I made on my way home from work at 6:15 PM. First round on me Sunday.

Well, if it had been true, that is the story of my life. Now I know not to believe my neighbors fishing or racing tales. :coolman:

I too am only 30 minutes away from Immokalee. I would love to go with fellow members and at least watch if not race. Let's try to do somethin' sometime!
