Most of the car's that I saw Dynoed By Scott Beer were set between 6500 -6800 . Mine if I remember correctly I had set a Little lower around 6200 street tune. The Race Tune I've never tryed and have no idea what it's set at.

6800 on mine and it shifts at 6600. I had it shifting at 6700, but this is what ate up my first gear clutches in my OEM tranny.

6800 rpm, but I have never hit it even with big burn-outs.

During Drag Week I upped mine to 7800. I was cool watching that big blower spin to 7500 during the shifts!

Where is your WOT 1-2 shift point....5500 RPM's??

My WOT 1-2 shift point was at 5900 and Predator has it at 6000.....my rev limiter is at 6700 and yesterday I bounced off of it at the 1-2......SCARED THE HELL outta me since the J-Mod!!!:argue: I thought I broke something for sure since it sounds like a 6 round burst from an M-14 coming out the exhaust!!!

I set the 1-2 at 5800 this AM and it seems to be OK??

The J-Mod WILL break the tires loose at the 1-2 shift if you're on it pretty good.....WOW!!

Learning to drive it all over again!!:bows:

Yep!

This is great brevity!

I should have said, "At what 'rev limit' will it damage our cars?"

Then you should have been more specific!

:D

The only way to find out is to run it up till it pops. When it goes, subtract a couple RPM and that was *your* engine's limit. No two engines are identical. Me? I won't go past 8500.

Oh yeah, it shifts REAL short on the street. With the converter and SC, the tires break at will. Shifts about 5700-5800. I have really had to relearn how to drive it.

I'll up the street tune shift points when I get wider rims and tires.

You still making power in those upper rpm's?

This is what I said the last time:
I should have said, "At what 'rev limit' will it damage our cars?"

So now what does "pops" mean? This method tells me what my rev limit is. Correct?

Are you saying that I may cause engine damage above this rev limit? And at the same time the only way to find out my rev limit is to possibly damage my engine?
