Knees in your chin only applies to the back seat. They had surprisingly a lot of front leg room.

The original mini's had no front leg room. The idea of the mini was to make the driver uncomfortable so they pay attention when driving. Unless you are short.

This was a good thing if you were tall. A friend of mine, tall guy 6'10" pulled the drivers seat out of his mini and sat in the backseat. He could reach the pedals and steering wheel no problem. Any other car and you wouldn't reach the pedals.

that isn't my experience with the original MINI and I've owned many of them.

A 6' plus tall person should have no problem driving one.

Your 6'10 friend would be an exception obviously, but I'd be surprised if most of his height wasn't in his legs.
