Dennis,

I have already decided to save up my pennies and buy a chip and MMC shaft from you. I'm wondering if you could recommend and sell new gears too.

I'm leaning towards 4.10s but my Dad is saying that he thinks that since my car is my daily driver that 4.10s will be too lively and that I should just go with 3.73s.

If I got a new chip and gears at the same time, would I need anything else to keep all the systems straight at the new gear ratio?

How much would gears run?

Thanks much,
Johnny

John,

I had the same exact question; can't decide which gear to go with either. However, I ordered the chip from Dennis Wednesday. It will probably be here tomorrow. I'll see what the chip will do, then (maybe) tackle the gear.

This being my first 'MOD' on a Ford product, does anybody know where this rascal plugs in?

I'll be taking a 3.73 marauder for an extensive spin tomorrow and seeing where the rpm curve falls with the 3.73's, but I suspect that I'll be going with 4.10's on my Marauder which it looks like I'll be picking up this week...

Good Job Logan! :D

I was thinking that since Dennis would have to reprogram it for new gears anyways, doing those three (chip, mmc shaft and gears) at the same time would be logical. Probably the only other major performance mod that I will do is rethink the exhaust perhaps with low restriction cats and X-pipes with either new or deleted muffler.

Ultimately, I'd like to get my Marauder up to 360-375 hp/tq and not really any higher. I still am going to use it as my daily driver and prolly in winter too (Wisconsin.)

Later, when I'm not driving it all the time, I'm thinking of playing with
it alot more and probably go straight to the more major upgrades. Blower, Cobra internal bits and a performance tranny.

I've been wondering the same thing, myself. I'm leaning toward 3.73 because I'm afraid 4.10s will just be too much for my daily commute. I want to have fun with my car, but I don't want to be turning 3K RPM cruising on the highway 20 miles each way to/from work. :D

If anybody has any recommendation on where to get rear end gear sets, please speak up.

Thanks!
