Real friggin nice! I can see people pushing the ice chunks into their tanks already! How easy would it be to dig the ice/snow out or settled water? How about dirt, dust and sand? Looks like they have a sealing rubber strip in the photo that may help aleviate junk getting in.?.?

Then again, I could make a fortune in the aftermarket selling protectors....Hmm

I cringed everytime my gas cap rubbed on the paint (dont want to scratch it anymore), so I got one of these. They replace your cap, and yes- there is a small piece of ice that forms at the bottom of the hole you insert the nozel into. I usually pluck it out with my finger or key. I like it.

Beauty of no gas cap is you still need the bib :)

Also look for no more spare tires: 'inflation kit' instead.

True ... but the folks who are losing their gas caps were the same ones who were having difficulty with the tether and ended up twisting it off. :rofl:

I think you guys all figured it out, but it is Ford being cheaper than ever and trying to make it seem like a good thing for consumers. Just saying it's from Nascar implys that they really didn't spend anything developing this... they just legally got permission to use it. Gas caps have never been a big deal for me... it's just a select few. If Ford wants to market to a select few bring back chrome bumpers, at least they look cool.

Mine is from nascar performance products (something like that), I got it from the Autosport catalog. That whole flipping the cap over the nozzel thing- I tried it but it really annoyed me.
