Hood won't open

When i pull the hood release on my crown vic I hear it click/release but my hood does not pop up so I can open it. Anybody else had this happen? Can I fix it or do I need a new latch?

spray some WD-40 on the latch ...it worked for me lol

Have someone pull the hood release while you push down on the hood then release it a few times. It possible the latch isn't releasing. If you get it open, spray some lube on the latch.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess it must have had something to do with the cold weather around here lately because I parked it in the garage overnite & as I was driving to the spray car wash today it popped up by itself. Now I'm gonna spray the latch real well & all should be fine. Thanks again!

Pull latch and slam driver side door closed. Then lube latch.

this happened to mine after i got some body work done on her

not only this but the little doo hickey the hod sits on when it's closed may need to be adjusted up a bit. I did this and it would finally pop open on it's own.
