Yes that's right on got on the radio here in Chicago. My band just played our first show last night, sold $70 worth of CDs, got free drinks from people (I had a lemonade) and to top it all off we got on the radio! We had 2 originals come on and had our version of the surf classic Pipeline, that was played twice and spoken over, but we had credit for it and a lotta phrase from the DJ.

What a Wild Weekend!

First gig, radio airplay, CD sales and my 65 Chevy is in my position!

:D:D:D:D

When I was in college I volunteered with the college's 'underground' radio station. Often, we air-played local bands like yours. It was a blast to be in that 'scene'.

Congrats dude. Only way to go is up!

Stang Stomper Rules!

Great news. Really glad to hear the kickoff went well.

I listened to the CD and it's all there. Great music. Great energy, would have loved to see you live. Even my 14 year old Son said it was cool, and you know the youth of today.

Yes, the CD is permanently installed in the cd player in my marauder.

Keep up the good work, you and your team have talent. Pipeline rocks, wish it went on for 45 minutes.

Good Job Dominick

Thanks Joe and it's great news that a 14 year old likes us because that is around the target market for the music business believe it or not. I think it's 12-19 usually and past 19 you usually think everything new sucks.... everything well known at least.

Ya know what Dom?

I think of you and your band every night as "The Late Show with David Letterman" comes to a close and they have some obcure new band play the closing minutes.

YOU GUYS NEED TO GET BOOKED ON "THE LATE SHOW" !!!!

I think there is more to is than a simple phone call and sending a demo, I think record companies arrange something like that. I'll be sending out Demos to small labols soon and we'll see what happens. A life goal is to get on Jay Leno just so I could talk to him about cars. I don't think he's really funny or good at his job, but the car department he excells!

Thanks for the motivation Berry, we'll see what we can cook up! ;)

That's all talk shows are for aren't they? That's all television is for isn't it? All just a commercial... looks like I'll have to be a part of it.

Do you do a Disco version?...

""Pipeline" is a surf rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surf_rock) song by The Chantays (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chantays). It was also recorded by Johnny Thunders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Thunders), Hank Marvin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hank_Marvin), Agent Orange (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_Orange_%28band%29), The Ventures (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ventures), The Challengers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Challengers_%28band%29), Anthrax (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthrax_%28band%29), and Dick Dale (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Dale) with the help of Stevie Ray Vaughan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevie_Ray_Vaughan). It was also covered by Hot Butter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Butter) on their 1973 album, More Hot Butter, and erstwhile-Beach Boy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beach_Boys)Bruce Johnston (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Johnston) cut a disco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disco) version in 1977."

No I did not fill in for your band and the Agent Orange version of the song is my favorite. Johnny Thunders probably didn't even know what was going on. Dick Dales was cool, but it sounded was too 80'sish. I don't think The Ventures ever wrote a song except maybe for Walk Don't Run and I have never heard the Anthrax version, but I heard it's great.

We got on the radio six times tonight on that same show. It was our version of Pipeline over and over with the DJ speaking over, but it was worth it and mentioned that everyone should buy our CD when it hits stores, but now we have to find a way to get it in stores.

Television is bad.... but I wouldn't mind a little promotion. I doubt she would care that I'm straight edge, but some do... you never know. I don't ever recall music being on her show unless it was some ultra talented 6 year old.

You don't watch TV

Motorhead350

The name of the band is Stang Stomper and my mom used to watch Oprah and last time I checked the show had no music on it. It was usually about helping people over come something or saying how abusive males are or something like that...
