I am having to lube my hood hinges every 4 to 6 weeks cuz they are sweeking. Not just a little sweek, but you can hear with all windows up. Does anyone have a lube that they can suggest will keep this QUIET?

I have been having this problem as well. I think I read something about a quick fix being a hood support? A little plastic piece that was not included on the car. I think it prevents movement of the hood altogether. Not sure though

I have the squeeks too I was told by the dealer that it was the hood stops in the front they lubed them with white lithium grease and it stopped for about 5mo and is back. I have not heard of the the hinges squeeking but that could be part of the issue.
What type of lube are you using now? Maybe try spray white lithium grease
I will try to track my squeek down this weekend and see what I can find.

I have a pic somewhere but being me I cannot find it. They were also installed on earlier CV and GM builds. Dennis

It's a combination of the hood latch and the corner stops backing off allowing the hood to move around!!:mad2::argue:
To test....while going slowly down a bumpy road or driveway with the thing squeaking.....PULL the hood latch.....it should stop if it is the latch and stops!!!
Squirt some WD-40 on the latch itself and get some jamb nuts to lock the hood stops in place!! I think Barry "Cruztaker" came up with the jamb nuts since his stops were backing off in time......IT WORKS....mine hasn't squeaked in a couple years now with the stops locked in place!!!:bows:
