someone just threw it in there cause they couldnt find the right bolt....you had anywork done? or are you a second owner

Can't be for sure right now, but think my K&N metal strap is attached to that bolt or one in the vicinity. Will check tomorrow.

Since our MM and it's motor was a "parts-bin" car that stud was used for something when the motor was put in another car. Don't worry about it.... nothings missing.

Mach 1's use that stud I believe

Trilogy cars also use it.

k&n metal brace does not connect to that bolt 1stmerc... it connects to the valve cover bolt

Thanks for the correction. couldn't see if there was another one with the radiator hose in the way.

Yes, I'm the second owner now, just bought 2 weeks ago.
The car has less than 24K on the odometer, interior is in great shape with only a few paint chips on top that I need to take care of as soon as the weather gets better here in MO.
