opinion on the 350z?

my brother and i went out the other day to go test drive new cars. he has always loved the Nissan 350Z. We found one and took her out for a spin.

WOW

the car does not feel fast. as we were cutting threw the back roads in it i felt like we were kind of stumbling when he would get on the throttle. even when Aaron would downshift and mash it down i could FEEL the power. however when i looked at the gauges and see it flying, i realy thought we had found something special.

no the car is not blazing fast, but you get an excelent driving experience. for me its not all about speed, its about howmuch i enjoy the car overall, and how much fun i have in the car.

the car is solid. it feels like someone is holding you and pushing you around because it has such control. it is beautiful inside and out,and the seats are perect. i was quite impressed. with the bose system, heated leather and a sticker price of less than what i paid for the MM, it was awesome.

so Aaron has taken under consideration, sellinghis Thunderbolt and buying a 350Z. any thoughts or experiences with them?

I understand your feelings I have not driven the 350z but I have driven the g35 and g35 coupe many times. The 3.5l v6 is a great motor tons of power (for a v6) lots mods that can be done. And it's a Nissan it will run forever

Aarons truckis a 2003 Thunderbolt. It is one of 400 made in black with his options..... it is a veryrare truck and has on 19,xxx miles on it.

The twin turbo 300z's were pretty cool, the new 350's just don't do it for me though.

But in the end folks buy what they like and that's whats important!

Not that many around Here in MA... seen afew but not as many as i would have expected.

i like the Cobras too.... however, the mustang just doesnt have the same feel. its not as low slung and the seats dont hold you like you are strapped in. but they are stupid on power... amazing amounts of power in those things.

They're not bad cars Adam, kid at work had an '06 convertible. He liked it, but he sold it for an FX35. I kind of liked it, too small for me though. They can be made very respectable with little mods. They make S/C's for them too, however I would turbo it if I had the option. Personally though, I would keep the T-Bolt.

Your truck is unique and one of VERY few. The 350z is common and not unique. Keep the truck!!! Also, if i saw you driving your truck I would take a look and compliment it....if you were driving the 350Z I wouldnt look twice at it and move on.

I have a few clients that own the 350z and their is always something going wrong with them. Nothing is done to them, all bone stock. Even the owner of a import repair shop next door thinks their junk and hates to work on them.

If it were me I would find a way to have both, that truck is too rare just to trade it in.

As far as the Cobra, they do make aftermarket Recaro seats that will keep you very snug when hitting the twistes.

Adam, if Aaron is going to spend at least minimum of $20's for a stock 350z, do SCCH said and go for an older Z. If it were me, go for a '89-'00 300zx. If he's willing to spend at least $20k for that, might as well and spend mid teens and get a better looking Z, twin turbo, and 6spd.

he could care less about the looks and attention, although we do enjoy it, it doesnt matter as much to us.

evo= ugly. sti=fugly. daves SB= well lets not go there.

listen, i love my MM. without a doubt i love it more than any other car i have owned. but, being realistic, its not a SPORTS car. its a luxo- muscle machine. which i have always liked and wanted. but i want a 2 seater sports car. i have never owned anything but a big V8 rear wheel drive car. the smallest car i owned was an 88 IROC which blew up 3 months later. i want a car that doesnt have a back seat.( i get volunteered as chaffuer a lot)

if i could own both i would. and im not saying that tomorrow im buying a Z. but when spring rolls around, i am seriously considering one.

i buy cars because thats what i want. none of my friends liked the MM until i pulled up in it. oh and girls in the 18-25 range dont like their grandpa's Grand Marquis:P

i dont want a G35... i find them kinda goofy looking. and they arent a sports car. they are a luxo-sport. i have always had a luxury car really, other than the 3 month stint with the Camaro.

Which to me is stupid. It's an Infiniti, you would think it would be more luxo, and the Z to be more hipo. All the G's have different is intake/exhaust setup to give them the extra pep.

someone at my school has a G35, it got broken into 2 days ago, and a grand worth of stuff taken from it. All they did was pop the door handle off and roll the window down.

obviously you've never tried breaking into a ranger.

there's an easy way to do it, and an easy way to prevent it.

it involves the antenna and about 2 seconds.
