View Full Version : Looking at an Xterra>

So i can pick up a 2000 Xterra with grill guard and roof rack, running boards and all that tune-up and T-belt done all records...Any feed back on these little guys? 3.3L V-6...it's for my wife..She has a 02 4-cyl Tracker 4 dr right now and I can't tow my little boat with it...feedback would be helpful

Get it for 10K....Wifes 02 Tracker is gutless and my 91 Winter beater doesn't get used except to go in the bush and beat it up...so sell both and gain a Xterra and some extra $$ for Mods...maybe even for the Marauder :).. Bought 4.10's now just need to install

my older brother owned an xterra...he liked it at first, but then soon had complaints of it being a slug, lots of road noise, tire noise, etc. He also said it wasn't as good as he thought it would be in snow, even with 4wd. He ended up trading it in for a new fx4 level two ranger and couldn't be happier.

Is it a supercharged one? That'd be a good price if it was. I've always liked the XTerras. I'd say go for it, but that'll mean you'll have to get the MM back on the road next winter and I'm not selling you back your tires...;)

Not supercharged just V-6, Marauder will stay OFF the road in winter time still I can car pool with my wife

Yeah, i guess anything would be a step up. I've got a ten speed i could sell real cheap :lol:


I also had a coworker that bought one and drove it for a couple months before trading it in, his reasoning (along with my brothers) was the gas mileage wasn't very good at all, along with the 4wd.
