I use my MM for work, and do lots of hard accelerating, and hard braking. I have cross drilled and slotted rotors, as the stock ones ended up warping and cracking before the stock pads were half worn. Right now I'm running a set of generic kevlar pads, but the excessive dust, and mediocre performance have me wanting to upgrade. Anyone have any suggestions? I thought about the Hawk or EBC pads, but have heard that they squeak. (unacceptable). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

Napa CERAMIX Premium or Akebono Ceramic.

Thanks. Have an account at NAPA, so I'll go with those

Def the Napa Ceramix pads. I had the EBC Green Stuff pads (their entry level pads) with the EBC slotted and dimpled rotors and they were actually eating my rotors up. Did not feel safe at all when having to brake past 45 mph. Night and day different after the Napa pads went on.

Might be a good idea to get some KVR SS brake lines if you don't already have them.

I've got Hawk pads on mine and I could definitely feel the difference. They rarely squeak but my uncle who put them on mentioned their notorious for squeaking if their not put on just right. I'll probably try Napa Ceramix next just to see how they do in comparison.

An excellent point. This will definitely reduce hot brake fade. the SS braided lines can't 'swell' as the fluid gets hot.

I use the Napa Pads too: Front part # CMX7834 & the rear part # CMX7835. Each set cost approx $80.00. Calfornia Highway Patrol, Huston Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff, Michigan State Police & San Francisco Police Like and use the Wagner Super Duty Semi metallic Pads.

I installed the Plus 1 kit front and rear. I used the pads Tood recommend and received great braking performance with little dust up front and no squeking noise at all!

Now, I got greedy and ordered a softer pad for the fronts. They squeked like crazy, which I found unacceptable for in-town driving. I re-installed the recommende BP-10 pads and I am very pleased with Todd/TCE.

I love the Bendix CT3 pads. You can get them from Avanced Auto Parts or any dealer in your area. The part# for the fronts is D931CT ($65.48) and the rears are D932CT($57.48). These are great ceramic pads and I use them with a set of cross-drilled and slotted cryo treated rotors all the way around. No squeak, low dust and great performance. I have used these on all the vehicles I have owned. Bendix great product, great quality, at a decent price. Plus they have a 2 year replacement warranty.

Much mahalo for all of the input, and advice. I picked up the NAPA pads. Now I just have to find the time to put them on.

I have the Hawk HPS pads on, when they squeak it is from not getting any hard use. Some hard braking runs in a safe location fixes it for a long time. They definitely grab better than stock. They smell some when they get really hot though.

I bought the set off of Ebay, from a seller called r1concepts. The quality was very good, and had a decent zinc plating done to it. I ran them for about 12k miles with zero probs. Price was reasonable too, $268 for all four, kevlar brake pads (those were crap), AND shipping to Hawaii.

Never got around to putting the NAPA ceramic pads on the MM, ended up selling before getting around to it.
