And here it is!

A HUGE thanks to my friend for doing the swap. The BBS's will appear on the Mark within a week. I think of it this way, killed two birds with one stone! The Mark's rims look awful (theyre really clean but just FUGLY). Now i dont have to buy rims for the mark.

It also made the car much more tolerable!

If we can just be honest, I don't think that's going to help you sell it.

I know that you didn't put these Stang rims on the GM so that it sells faster but rather just because you "like the look". The bad part, I don't feel like most will agree especially would-be buyers if you are still selling.

Those look great

Just a question what year is your car and did you have to use spacers because on my 1999 crown vic I had a set of antresite bullit wheels but the offset was way off and the wheels would rub the inside of the wheel well.
Thanks in advance.Alex

I did this mod for me. They wouldnt go with the car. Furthermore, i know for a fact it will NOT help me sell it. I already paid for them close to 3 weeks ago. Come car payment time for the Merc, i wont feel half as bad. For the interim the car makes me smile....JUST FOR NOW;)

Like i said, it was just to make the car more tolerable for myself. ;)

Nope! They bolted right on with no spacers. They do not rub, and clear the calipers perfectly.

If it matters, these Bullitts are factory OEM wheels. Knockoffs may have different offsets .

Let me tell you one thing. You are a young guy.

If I were you, I would just forget about a Marauder for a while, enjoy the GM, and STOP modding it.

A Marauder for someone with the modding bug while still young and before success can become a problem.

If you mod the GM this much, you will indeed spend a fortune on the Marauder.

Save the coin, become successful and you will be able to drive any car you want.

Than again, life is short and you only live once. Balance is key.

Life is too short. Anything i do to this car can AND WILL be turned back to stock if a sale comes through. HOWEVER, i just may hold onto it for my signifigant other in the future.

+1 on that. At least they will be easier to clean, too.

Are they 17" or 18"? 2005 and later Mustang? I thought the offset would be wrong for a pre-'03 Panther?

They are SN95 wheels (95+ mustang GT). Thus, they bolt on with no issues.

Its not horrible really. You wanna talk about fender gap? Look at a mustang GT with these wheels, LOL!

Come tax time, tires and other stuff shall follow. Right now, it handles like its on rails!

When I looked at those wheels by themselves, I wouldn't think that they would look good on a panther car. Alas, the car looks very good Len! Might I suggest that you get locking lug nuts to secure them from theft. I agree with the others that a larger diameter tire would fill in the wheel well better.
What size tires are those?

I also hated cleaning the lacy spoke wheels, that is why I use them for winter tire duty. Only need to clean them for about three months that way.

I'm sure that the title of "So, I modded the GM today..." wasn't implying that Len would be going the route that I chose. Although not a terrible choice, but now that a Marauder has come down in price, I'd suggest to buy one instead. It is just a simple statement of his current change.

I was. But there doesn't seem to be any interest in the car. I have to find someones ebay to use. I let someone use mine, and got all NEG feedback. So, that idea is shot (for now).

They were originally intended for the Mark 7. Since i hated driving the GM so much, i decided it t'was time for a change!

Simply amazing though. With the HPP and the low pro tires, it feels like a go kart! Zips in and out of lanes like its nothing at 80+

Part of the improved feel could also be from the tire design, not just the size change. The stock Goodyears on the GM are not performance oriented while the Toyos that you put on might be.

Regardless, it is nice to turn the steering wheel and not have a delayed response.

Just start a whole new ebay account, just use a different email address.

Yep!

They are 245/45/ZR17's. What size does anyone recommend? I dont want something so big that they make the wheels look tiny also

255/50-17 might be a good choice, tirerack has a variety at this size with reasonable costs.

The original tires on your car were 225/60-16 is 757 rev/mile, the 255/50-17 is 746 rev/mile. The speedometer at 60 mph would be 60.9 mph actual.

No problem Len!

I'd be curious to see any other sizes someone might suggest.

ts-pa

Len--just for comparison of size; the MM fronts are 235/50-18 at outer Ø27.3" & the 255/50-17 at outer Ø27.0.

BTW, I run the MM fronts on all fours. Non-MM panthers can do this without any ABS issues since the ABS was set from Ford for same tire sizes front and rear.

So you can see how the tire size will fill in the wheel well area by looking at my car as an example.
