I was up at gander mtn last saturday, after we dropped one of the ATV's off for service. Anywho i went in the back to see what new dazons came in, and holy crap there was a 1100cc dragon hiding in the back row :bows:
Why is this so special? Long travel suspension with real fox racing shocks, 4cyl 1100cc engine, and a 5spd manual gearbox
Also had what i think were ITP Mudlites on some chrome rims, and the fact that its smaller than all the 800cc buggies, yet 200+cc's more and dont forget that extra cylinder, mated to a 5spd transmission means this thing has to fly.
Next weekend ill be in that area and ill snap some more pics with my camera.
Im just abit excited to have actually been able to sit in one and row through the gears, since its been a prototype for 2 years, and just came out last october. Clutch was smooth, gearshifts were short, very comfortable to sit in, and great ground clearence.
But still, i could buy a Polaris RZR for 1 grand less and it'd walk allover that.
Oh well, in 3 years they will be on ebay for 1/2 price with 5 hours on them due to some dumb problem like "it wont start", which would be the great time to get one.
Heres what it looks like in a good pic.

Would it survive hitting the table though?

I don't see why you couldn't get a home built title for it in PA and put that little gem on the road. Can you think of the fun you'd have on the state forest roads and ATV trails. :woohoo:

I was thinking, what that puppy would do in the snow.

I take mine out in the snow all the time, ive been brushing up on my powerslides, so far my record is 1/2 the length of my driveway :banana2:

And yes, it would survive the table, but the table has better traction since it is 8 feet drive.
And no im not missing a fog light, its just angled down due to the fact those are both unplugged right now and i havent bothered to tilt the one up;)

Its not really my thing, but I did visit the Oregon sand dunes once where we rented a couple of those and hit the dunes......what a blast! I hit a tree with mine and had to drive it back to the rental outlet with a bent front axle. I'm sure those weren't as powerful as what your used to though...

Depends on what it was, my 150 has up to stage 2, fully modified CVT, racing exhaust, intake, and a new cam, and probably makes about 13 (stock is about 9.5)
The 1100 makes 55hp and 65tq, and can do 70mph+
They are a blast, especially modified, i drove a blade like mine but the XL frame (imagine the nose extended out a front) and i was expecting that high rev, kinda took a while to get up to 7000rpm's and thats where it stopped. Amazing what some mods do, ive hit 11,000rpm's at 40mph in mine, which is loud and when your 6" off the ground, feels like your setting a land speed record :D
Heres another picture for good taste. God i really want one of these now.
These are of the prototype, which was partly developed by a guy down in NC who is a dazon dealer. Anyone fimalar with lake norman?

and just for good measure
This one is a 250 single, which is the original 250 i was planning on getting, but they stopped making it :(
This one is specail because it has a NX nitrous system, and yes it really works. This buggy was clocked at 63mph :burn: Built by the same guy in lake norman, you can see his "lake norman extreme toys" buisness cards on the frame
It has the same muffler as my buggy, but on a custom header, sounds great.

I like it, but for 11 grand I would buy a fox body Mustang and drop my small block in it. :burnout:

For about $500 you can get a four wheel drive, 1,300cc, four cylinder, liquid cooled, 1988 Suzuki Samuri.
The 80" wheel base makes 50mph feel more like 120, it's street legal, has a roof (if you want one), and can carry a few passengers too.

I know it is an outrageous price. Ive seen it on ebay for 8 grand, its better thatn 11. 8 grand will get you an 800cc so for a 1100cc EFI 4cyl thats a bargain lol.

But thats more of a lunch box, and takes some work to make them serious offroaders, but with that work they are very good offroad vehicles.

for 11 grand you could put a better suspension on your maruader and lift kit and think of the fun you could have then!
I was thinking of making a Smart Fortwo with a better Offroad buggy suspension and knobby tire option. They even made a Buggy version: http://www.cargurus.com/images/2007/12/11/18/10/pic-16668.jpeg
