My Mom is a knitter, she has been knitting for over 72 years now.

Well just two weeks ago she knitted my Jayne Cobb hat.

I wear it when it gets cold, and lately it has been getting very cold, it works well.

Anyway here is a little tribute to Jayne, by Jayne himself.

I must live under a rock...never heard or seen Firefly.
I do recognize the actor from full metal jacket (http://www.occhisulcinema.it/Dos-Full%20metal%20jacket%203.jpg) .
The song that he sang in the video sounded familar, but I do not recall where I heard it before.

Love Firefly. Love Serenity. I like how Joss Whedon actually fleshed out the reasons why the browncoats rebelled against the Alliance throughout his half a season and a movie, unlike Star Wars, which hints that large ships and ominous music alone are inherently evil.

One of my favorite exchanges is somewhat faint and in the background in the movie as Mal is going to check on the engine:

Zoë: ...Are those grenades?
Jayne Cobb: Cap'n doesn't want them.
Zoë: We're robbing the place, Jayne, we're not occupying it.


Cracks me up every time..:)

I never saw the show on TV, just stumbled upon the DVD's and picked it up.

I did see Serenity day one, first showing though.
