my aunt has a 02 Grand Marquis with no heat...heater core is hot on both sides..coolant level ok..the floor vent will blow some warm air but only enough to feel when you put your hand on the vent...thermostat was already replaced by someone else...is this a actuator problem or is the control head at fault,,also do the 2V motors have the same cooling system burping isssue the 4V motors have...any input on this would be greatly appreciated..:o:o:o

Check the blend door actuator. If it works, then the head can be at fault.

I know this seems very basic, but is there coolant in that black crossover pipe with the screw-in plug on top. That thing needs to be "burped" y'know. If the thermostat has been replaced, there's a chance that may be the problem. Just a guess. :twocents:

is the blend door behind the dash or is accessible without removing the dash?...it is a full auto head unit just as in the MM...the thermostat was replaced yesterday to try to fix this and the heat quit working 2 days ago,,so im not sure if air in the system is the problem

The blend door actuator is accessed by removing the whole dash panel.
