The funny thing isn't the headline but the response.

Yet another law can not be inforced, what a joke.

In CT we already have that law. My ex-wife used to work for the Dept. of Revenue Services here and she got me a Marijuana Tax Stamp. I have it in a frame on my desk. I don't know if anyone has ever been charged for not having a marijauna tax stamp on their drugs. I also remember her saying that the only people purchasing the marijuana stamps were cops.

This is just a way to really bust people. Think about it. If some one gets nabbed for selling drugs, they can also be charged with a whole bunch of other offenses now too.

"Mr So-n-So, you've been charged with selling drugs, avoiding states sale tax, un-registered dope, no stamps, no permits, etc, etc. etc."

Care to just save everyone some time and just plead guilty to one of the charges? Heck, we'll even cut you a really sweet deal; Five years instead of a possible 90."

I don't like this system one bit. Mis-used (as it often is by maverick DA's looking for personal gain) it leads to a lot of innocent people doing a lot of time simply because they can't afford to fight off a 100 frivolous charges.

I would much rather live in a country where the occasional bad guy is left free rather than where an innocent person is jailed. I also believe this is the way it was originally intended to run.

We need another George Washington. Our government is no longer our government.

My wife just paid a speeding ticket. She was charged all these fees for services that were never rendered. She is sending a letter asking the D/A to prosecute for fraud. Example computer service $6.50. Jury Fee $5. Never went before a jury.

There were also numerous assessments for various funds. I told her they could do that but you cannot charge someone for a service that was never rendered.

Just look at our Mayor and Police Chief. The Mayor says he was just putting the gun down and the photo is misleading. I guess the Mayor is not laughing or in a stance either!.
