Does your Marauder fit in your garage?

Mine is a tight fit.

I have about two inches of clearance at the back but the front is right up tight. I added the carpet to keep from hitting the wall.

Well I have a communal driveway with two parking spaces for each of the three houses (though we have our own two on our side of the driveway), the MM sticks out into the drive way and there is barley enough room on the sides to keep from dinging the clear coat on the door edges.

Any one know if they made door guards for our MM's? I'd go generic but the trim running down the middle is in the middle.

I've got it pretty good...a wall on one side and the CV as a buffer to my neighbours Nissan. My 'Barage' is 20X60 so rear room is outstanding.

However, with the Aviator next to me, I give Jessica the honor of head-in parking while I back in.

The Marauder sits about 3" off the wall on the right. She must in turn place the Vator 5" off her wall.
This leaves about 2' of osha required aisle width.

Mine's a tight fit, when I can park in the garage. That's only when the wife is away otherwise it sits outside. But I DO have several pictures of it parked in the garage. I see nothing strange about that!

My single car garage was never intended to be a garage, just an open carport. Previous owner of the house had it mostly enclosed, but no garage door. While I was having other remodeling done, I had a garage door added. I had the blue MM in there a few times. About two inches of clearance on front and back bumpers and pretty tight for getting out. Have to park towards the pass. side wall and be carefull of the door edge when opening. When we get the garage cleaned out again, I will be glueing carpet to the three walls in appropriate spots and installing some kind of system to let the wife know when she is close enough to the front wall for the garage door to clear the bumper. It kills me for BOTH cars to be outside right now.

Mine fits, but the idiots who put my furnace where they did should be shot. If I get it exactly right, I get about 1.5 feet between it and the rear fender (I have to back in because of my driveway shape - it's easier to back in and drive out than vice-versa) If I get it wrong, I have to squeeze my fat A** in a space as small as 1 foot. I can get up to the OSHA 2 feet, but then I can't get in the other side.

I could get rid if the shelves that are in the way, but that would mean less crap! I can't get rid of any crap!

My father thinks I'm crazy, because his garage is ALL crap, and I can at least get my cars in mine!

I could get rid of one of my other cars, but that ain't happening either.

I have the Marauder with the MG behind it on the "deep" side of my garage, and "nameless vehicle" on the "shallow" side. Outside are the 1965 Buick Wildcat and the 1998 2500 extended cab, long bed pickup. The pickup will actually fit, but you can't open the door once you've got it in there.

I've never met anyone who wished for a SMALLER garage......

Mine is 30" long, and standard width, and the MM would fit if my office weren't in there, (the last 8' is the laundry, and I'd throw that sh** in the yard to put the car in there)

I just wish I had a garage. My house used to have a garage but the previous owners closed it up and turned it into a play room for their kids. Now its a cat room.

I have about 30" of clearance, but 24" are used up with "stuff" against the back wall, right now. I installed a "brick mod" by placing a left over interlocking brick at the perfect place in the garage, so that when the tire makes contact with the brick, I stop, leaving just enough space front and back...

How about a nice easy "system". Get a tennis ball and some twine,punch holes in the tennis ball and run the twine thru it and tie it off,next park the car in exactly the wya you need to to get the proper front and rear clearance.Hang the twine with the tennis ball suspended from a rafter or beam so it's just touching the windshield right in front of the drivers line of sight. When you or wifey pull in just barely kiss the tennis ball with the windshield and you're parked.
BTW,I don't get any credit for thinking it up,it's an old,but effective trick.

When I bought the house it came with a detached single car garage which the neighbors call the Mausoleum because it's very tall, deep, and pretty narrow, and built of concrete block. I'd have plenty of room front to back but probably could'nt get out of the car without climbing out the window.Of course once I acquirred Mr. Man, who never met a power tool, chipper-shredder, riding mower, weedwhacker, Home Depot or Lowe's he didn't like, a 'GARAGE" is a moot point. He has blueprints for a big,beautiful garage....and every year or so ,especially in the winter, I get them out and fantasize.;)
