Wow, I can't believe I came across this video in one of my archives. This was the last day of being a senior from my HS. It was fun, until the cops arrived. And yea, I know, one wheel peel.

Probably one of the best peg leg burnouts I've seen

If I had a Marauder in high school- I'd be in jail!

We will have to meet up and do a dual burnout, maybe get a couple other guys and just burn baby burn

Haha thanks guys. Yea, the Vic dominated in HS. Just about every day leaving, down the "big hill" outback waiting in traffic to leave, I'd light them up.

Dude, you are young if they even had video cameras when you were in HS! When I was in HS color photography wasn't invented.

I got through with the car still in one piece... No accidents, tickets etc. Just remember that you are going to have one of the nicest or THE nicest car at school... you have nothing to prove to anyone! Dont go beating on the car to impress a bunch of dumbass high school kids who probably dont know a Camshaft from a crankshaft. Just get tints and some aftermarket mufflers and let the car's badass looks and sound do the talking

Nice video! That was a hell of a burnout.
I did something similar. It was the last day of high school for me too, and sitting in the parking lot waiting to get out, I did a smaller one just out of boredom. They were checking every car for a parking pass on the way out, getting their last fines in, so I was sitting for a while.

I know, most cars at my school are tiny crap boxes, but i still am parking at the very end of the lot, with the curb on 1 side and my friends maxima to the other, so i will be immune from door dings

My car is the 3rd one, and my friends dent barrier is the first one :)

As for mufflers, nah i like electric cutouts after the cats better :burnout:

Burnouts weren't an option for me with my 1960 VW Beetle with most of the 36 hp it started life with. So, in frustration during my senior year, I turned the old bug over on its side right in front of my HS...
(rumor has it that I have matured a little bit since then)

Haha that's funny, I would have loved to see that.

All evidence was destroyed to protect the innocent.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it (unless it doesn't work...)

Ok...Dumb question but...how do you do that? Is it just mashing on the gas pedal from a standstill or is there braking involved? Just curious.

Yep, apply slight pressure to the brake, mash the gas pedal.

Made a sharp 90 degree right turn at about 20 mph while accelerating. Didn't touch the brake (like I normally would have before a turn) before entering the turn.
The bug just went over on the driver's side. Luckily there was a bunch of guys waiting for the early bus that flipped it back on the wheels for me.
It rudely dispelled my incorrect belief that the bug wouldn't turn over.
I was grounded for a long time after that.
