Listening to the local PBS radio last nite they had a set of songs titled the "Mercury Blues". I enjoyed them. I think one version went back to 1949. The last one I think is Alan Jackson in 2005. I'm not smart enough to know how to find and attach the song (maybe someone else can) but I did find the Lyric.

haha wow two lead sleds drag racing, I bet my K5 could have won that race! :D On another note I prefer the original version and think it would have sounded great if Ike Turner or Hank Willams did a version of this song. I wonder when it was written.... hmmmmmm. If Hank III did this, o man that would be a killer.

Blue03,That song was on the original Marauder CD made and sold here by one of the members WAY back,it was in my last four cars and I still listen to it. Matter of fact every time I pull into the service dept at the dealer I roll the windows down and play it. I have 2 copies and I ain't parting with them. Some of the other cuts were,Highway to Hell,I Can't Drive 55,Paint It Black,& Bad to the Bone.
Does anyone else still have theirs?:sing:
