I think the correct term is "reflector panel" even thought there is nothing to reflect. Some call it a "Rear Facia". But to answer your question is Yes.

Yeah actually back in 04 my dad wanted to buy another MM. Looked at north park LM in texas, on their site they had over 20 in every color except blue of course, and in one of the pics one of the silvers had black in between the tail lamps. Some may think it will look like a police interceptor but I thought it looked pretty mean, reminds me of the mustang mach1s (I think) and the chargers with the daytona package or whatever.

Yeah you can see how it'd look on those - I've seen silver birch P71's with black rear panels.

Maybe a Mach 1 style honeycomb flat black panel would be kinda interesting. Might be an odd contrast for the lighter SB though.

Like a "tear" effect airbrushed on in the transitions, start with blue up front, tear into red through the front doors, then silver for the rears and end with black????

Hopefully it's not the '76 Ford farm truck scheme, you know, blue hood, black fender, red door, silver trunk, etc. :)

The base would be black
Roof would be Blue, as well as part of the fenders, doors and quarter panels
A 2-3" Silver strip between the Blue and Black, joined with a DTR Pinstripe.

I have the lines of the paint job in my head, and it wouldnt be as boring as I just described it!

A black back panel looks ok on a sb but the bottom trim would have to be silver if not it would never look right!!!

Yeah it would look like a P71 if the bottom trim/under taillamps was black too.
