Mine didn't want to fit either.... nothing a little swipe with a RotoZip (large dremel) wouldn't fix.
And the Logo upsidedown suprised me.... I can't believe they would let that pass QC like that. I hope they didn't design it that way. :/
I'm thinking of turning mine around too. I'm kinda anal with that kinda of stuff. Notice the clamps all facing the same way? :)

Those pics where taken on my buddies camera and he used some "Lighthouse" program to take the sun reflecting light out and make the sky a bit more blue.
Just playing around. Better pics will come once we have a nice break in the day around 4pm - 5pm and find a nice setting.
Night pics are next and I'm great at those...

+2 had it the JLT logo facing up, but then swiveled it so I can see it when working from underneath :D
And am I one of the lucky few that got the shield to fit as is?, I guess I paid for it in other ways, had to buy some 5 cent furniture pads to keep the thing from rubbing through to the paint.
Only thing that I don't like about the kit is that the rubber boot wear can be a :censor:, heed my warning . . .
Oh and you're not the only one who's anal about clamps:

Nice idea with the use of the free sticker.
I've also noticed where the tube connects to the TB it rubs the hoods heat blanket and is kinda burning/rubbing through it. I tried moving the tube around a little but it's in the tightest spot it'll go. :/

Very nice and shiny !!
Looks like the engine compartment could use some touch up. ;) Turtle Wax ICE works very well and doesn't leave that greasy look.

Maybe either trim a tiny layer off of the blanket, or just let it work its way through.
My rubber boot at the top is kind of angled downward, and i have no rubbing issues.

Nice and clean and even the oil fill cap is on straight.
Never understood how the creaters make the names upside down when it is installed on car. The sock for the K&N filter is the same way.

Where the boot meets the Throttle body?!? Mine rubs at the bottom of the boot where it connects with the tube. You have a intake spacer or something?

Which probably why your heat shield doesn't fit
BTW, someone try and see if they can spot the factory rubber band in my picture :D

You're so funny. I was merely saying he likes his K&N better, but has he seen a JLT in person, been in a MM with one etc. http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/5/6/2/9/loser1.gif

Is it behind the manifold? I see a little brown colored thing. Well, near the top of it I should say.

Why dont you guys do yourself a favor and buy a K&N? No fitment problems what so ever and I would think performance gains should be similar.

The K&N isnt as performance giving as the JLT is, plus it dont come with a custom paint option :D
Every marauder is different, thats why some have more trouble with bolt on's than other.

Free speech and exchange of ideas and information are welcome; but this is a mature family channel and civility, without profanity are expected.
Congratulations on the beautiful MM. Looks like a keeper. Nice photos also, thanks for posting. :)

Yeah Yeah... I understand. In my defense though... it would've been an embedded file and now words from the file would be displayed unless you did a right-click properties! ;)

Yeah, I know ...sometimes I think something's gonna get by the word police in the 'puter, then after posting, see those ****** stars. Nice thing is, you can go back and edit, choosing a more appropriate word. We did find some rather amusing little things censor man finds from time to time, that make no sense, and talk about them, when things get slow. ;)
I'm a terrible potty mouth, but hanging with you guys has made me a better person....:D
