I ask that all eligible Americans please do their duty to their Country and vote .
It is pathetic to me how few citizens actually fulfill this obligation.

http://vpa.wi.gov for Wisconsinites. I was drunk in girls' dorms there for a while, so it was a bit light there early in the decade.

As for voting, it's not obligatory for United Statesers, like it is for our Holden-driving friends Down Under, but it's still a right not every human has today, and we should set the good example for the rest of the world. Congressional years have recently been about 45% and presidential years have been about 60%. Let me type that statistic again:

Our legislative branch of government, creating and updating laws on our behalf, is sometimes selected by less than half of the eligible voting population. Just over half of the American populace decides who the leader of the free world is.

Got so excited citing my sources, I didn't finish my thought. Like jimlam says, get out there and make it happen. When things happen in your country that you are for or against, make sure that you had a say in who is making these decisions. If you don't exercise your right, you are sacrificing it. This year, and future years, are exciting ones. Be a part of history and go participate in your civil society. Also, if you don't vote, people are less likely to take you seriously. Show the world we know how democracy works.

Move to Australia see how you have to vote, or go to jail.
