How much space is between the rear shelf (above the gas tank), and the bottom of the rear deck. Basically, I am curious if I can fit a 12" sub up in there or if a 10" sub is the limit (I have seen 10" subs back there).

The measurement is 11".

12's - even 15's can be made to fit on the shelf with some creative box design.

There are plans in my gallery for a simple 2x12 box and a simple 2x10 box. I have done a 15 and am helping another member with a 15 as well.

Believe it or not, there's enough space there for 8-10's. Some day, I'll do it.

I'll build you a box to fit just about whatever you want.

I'll give away the height, but not the rest of it. It's complicated under there when trying to maximize a box design!!!
