I have a vin number from a old mustang. It belongs to a freind. We want to find out what original equipment came on the car. Thanks

it says vin is not correct. need 5 more numbers/letters try again..

VIN's changed in about 1980 I don't think most VIN reporting tools will accept the earlier VIN's...unfortunately. Would be cool if they would to see 40 years of history!

There are probably online resources to decode early Mustang VIN's

I wonder if it'd show up on Car Fax?
It was supposed to gone to Alabama after I traded it in in 1975.

neither one of these vins in this thread come up on carfax..i quess to old.
