Well as some of you know my Blazer was stolen and I'm really heart broken and extremely angry :soap: Looks like it's gone because it has been well over 72 hours and I have had no help from the police or at least it seems that way because I have been the one finding footage, time of theft and what car the people were driving.... the police haven't even called me back or anything and I did foward this info to them.

Looks like I'll have to provide all the info on the value of the truck and I heard this: If I collect insurance money the insurance company will then own the vehicle because I willingly turned over the title. :argue: So if it pops up in 6 months I cannot get it back. I want it back and I wanna ruin the theives lives. Can I turn the "new" car back to the insurance company and get the truck back when it comes back? How does this work? I don't care if it's scrapped, wrecked or missing an engine... I want it back more than anything in the world right now. :mad2:

Most insuance companies wiat 30+ days before paying for a stolen.

Tell them to you want the salvage, but if you keep title you should keep insuring it.

Ok I Agree With Sailsman... You Should Be Able To Buy It Back From The Insurance Co .. If They Find It That Is..

And I Have Heard The Same Thing On Having To Wait 30days

Mine Was Stolen And Recoverd It Is Insured Liability Only Had Full Coverage....can Never Have Coverage Again That Sucks

Good Luck .................. I Hope They Find It

Sorry to hear your lose,....I once had a 1974 PINTO wagon stolen from me 3 times in month and a half. And the third time I STILL got it back. Just thought I would inject some true humor here...

I'm sure your family has an attorney, Dom. Ask him to make aggressive inquiry(s) to the police, providing the video evidence you've collected. A note from him to the police commissioner wouldn't hurt. Isn't your dad "connected" politically? Of course, you need to determine if it's worth using up any "chits" the family has lying around.

I hate to say it, but there's a good chance the beloved Blazer is already on a container ship, headed for South America.

Yeah, the thieves couldn't find anyone who would take the damn thing. And you kept saying stuff like: "Damn, they brought it back ....again".

Not to swipe Dom's thread, but wasn't there a way cool Pinto, sort of, wagon, with an opra window thingey, and a neat paint job?

Mike, you mean like this thingy?

Actually, that PINTO wasn't a bad starter car for me back in the 70's. I did have a lot of fun with it.... And it took a lickin' and kept on tickin'

Yes, those ones... I loved them. They had cool interiors and from what I recall about pintos, they were really great cars. Was that one yours? :high5:

Nope had a 74 blue one that was an XLT or what ever they called the package for the upgrade model. Put a 100K on it before I traded it in on a 1980 F100.

Now enough of sidetracking Motorheads thread....

More than likely it hit a chop shop and has been gone for 2 days now.

Parted out to the rock climbing, desert racing folk, non pro folk.

Or shipped out. (usually don't ship whole older model trucks as they are not worth it)

Check with the Forums for that kind of truck.

Post the video of them stealing your truck, you may get a hit.

Suggest a crime stoppers episode for your truck, video included.

Maybe this is the way it is supposed to be, the way you are supposed to let go of your Blazer. As for the buy back ask your insurance company, they will know better than us.

Your young and letting go is hard, eventually you will learn that losing a car or truck is easy, losing other things is much harder. But in the end everything will eventually be lost and you can only, but live with it. Don't forget about it, cash it out, remember it, collect your pictures blow one up and frame it.

If you ever see the vehicle used in the robbery, get even with them, glue their gas cap on. Always funny. Just make sure they didn't use some other saps stolen car while getting yours. If you really want to be mean/get even you can take more extreme mearsures.

No nothing personal or direct, but you can do many many things to get even with people without taking the law into your own hands.

SCREW THAT!

I can't believe I am reading this from a car junkie. Soon as I get a plate it's going to be worse than jail time for the people. I finally got a call from a detective today and seems like I have been doing everything and they have been doing nothing. What's a stolen car to the law? To them and most people think, cars can be replaced, but not values to the owner/care taker. This was about the only thing left to me that really meant something. My first guitar was stolen, my first dog died and now the toy that I've had since I was six was stolen.

I guess no one here quite gets the picture. This thing was nice and meant more to me than my friends... it was like family. It's seen everything in my life come and go, it was there for the hard times, grade school basketball games and like a person it had mood swings. It would be fun one day, but wouldn't start the next. You had to be there for it and it'd be there for you. Nothing stopped it either, it would never get stuck. There have been many times that I would drive over something to get outta traffic and never have any problems. Now it's gone because some jerk offs wanted the fun when they could have bought one for themselves... they aren't worth squat!

If anyone has any tips for me please post. Anything else please keep in another thread... I need help here.

Did you scope out the neighborhood where it was stolen? If possible, query local hoodlims for info (& offer a reward for info?).

The younger kids in the neighborhood might be more talkative.

What year/$value is vehicle?

Try to cruise the area. Might be abandoned a few blocks away.

You could try to hire a P.I.

If only my Father would have done the Mafia route when it was offered to him all those years ago. THEN, I would have you covered for sure. Sorry I am not there to help.

Good luck.

Letting go is a process.

Having your dog die is bad but not really bad.

Letting go a a cherised car or truck isn't bad. It seems like it right now as you still own it, let the insurance buy it from you and move on.

Having a loved one or family member die is the Big Bad thing. A Truck doesn't compare.

Do I miss my Mustang I had and drove daily for 17 years. Maybe a little bit.

Do I miss my Dad, Yeah alot more.

It is just a truck.

Ya just forget about it. It's just metal, rubber, glue and fluids. Who cares anyway?

Everything can be replaced.

No offence dude, but I don't think that way. Maybe I enjoy my cars more than you.

Motor,

It's like my little girl and her blanket. It's been a part of you and your world for so many years that it's a piece of you. If you don't have it, it throws the gravitational pull off in your world.

The older guys may not remember those times or the items in their lives that you held dear, but I do. Can it be replaced? We all know that it can, but that truck BELONGS to YOU. It doesn't belong to anyone on this forum. It doesn't belong to your insurance company. It sure as Hell doesn't belong to the jackasses who stole it. It belongs to MOTORHEAD350.

Best of luck!

Hey Dom, for someone who claims to be a rebel, doesn't watch TV, probably knows nothing about what's going on in American Politics let alone the rest of the world, you sure do seem a little (a lot actually) materialistic.

I guess I should have seen it coming when you have a Dad that not only buys you a car but a Marauder. I can only imagine what else he buys you.

I don't even want to touch the subject of "owning or having" a Blazer since you were six.

Maybe you dress and look like a punk but you sure don't act like it; more like the typical MTV crowd wannabe.

And this has to do with??

Dom is obviously distraught over his vehicle getting stolen. As I or anyone else would be.

Yet I read the above and wonder for what reason you posted?

Obviously, there are no facts in what you have interjected in this thread.

We do not have to like everyone on this board, nor is it realistic to think we would.

I do expect common courtesy towards others while we share our thoughts and ideas.

Sometimes, silence is the more intellectual way to handle things. Rather than run one's mouth simply because you may not like or agree with others.

Motorhead i feel really bad for you and hope that you get it back. Everything that i or my family have has taken a very long time to get and hard work. It is just a machine to alot of people but to me those "machines" are something more. Everytime i have to leave a car in the parking lot or a combine in the field i wonder if it will even be there when i return or what kind of condition it will be in. PEOPLE NEED TO HAVE RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLES THINGS. I hate when people attack other people on here for what they have. I have worked my a** of for the past 10 years of my life for a spot on our farm and some of the things that i have and have made sacrifices to. I had to stop playing baseball and some nights had to give up doing stuff with friends to work. So for people to be able to put a price on what peoples stuff is worth is :bs:. I know that i will get alot of s**t from people on here but so be it. Moterhead I hope you find you blazer and it comes back to you in the shape it left or close. Best of luck!!!

First off who are you to judge? You don't know me you are only assuming things. Second I would have rather have the Marauder stolen because it's a lot easier to come by and the Blazer is a piece of me. I can't believe you had the nerve to come at me like this when I'm looking for help on a stolen car and you are bashing who you think I am.

Third I don't label myself, but a lot do call me a rebel... I get called an assshole a lot too, probably because I have been careless of others, other than the people that matter to me. Almost everyone on this site is on that list that I would reach out for if they needed help, you can earn your way back. Forth my father has nothing to do with this. When I have kids I'm going to treat them too. He didn't buy a frickin M6 for me... he bought for himself. I do not drive the $100,000 cars and have the $125 dinners, I choose not to and I do not live off of his money. I'm 22 now not 16 and even when I did it was pretty much for gas with the occisional desire for something that cost a little more like a video game system or new radio like any 16 year old would want, but couldn't afford. Actually he didn't even want me to work because he wanted me to focus on school. I don't know if your parents offered you such a deal, but that's as kind as one can be.

Forth what is MTV? I'm guess it's on television. J/K I used to watch it in high school, but never liked it because they never played music. Those people are all about the latest trends, dressing new, being hip, looking good, listening to new music and phrasing it all the time. I'm the total opposite dude... especailly the looking good part haha.

I just ask that before you judge why don't you get to actually know someone first. I do not believe we have ever shook hands. A few on here have met me and I can't think of anyone on here that doesn't like me... if they do so be it, I won't bust their chops for having an opinion. Assumption is the number one cause of screw ups.

Looks like the first add for for an S10 because K5s never had V6 engines. The second one sounds better, but mine didn't have a winch at least not for a few years and I don't think they made an effort to put one on. Thanks for your effort man!

Well, maybe start posting this up on other automotive forums with members in the Chicago area? It has worked in the past, remember the guy with the stolen bullitt mustang and some members of fuel sl*t got his car back?

Give it a shot, not much else you could do except keep driving around looking.

First, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I am on a business trip and don't have much free time.

Now, who said that I didn't like you? Sure, you would have a rock through your window (and broken bones if you had the balls to pull over) should I have been one of your "loud speaker" victims. Otherwise, you seem harmless.

Also, saying you don't label yourself is the current hip thing to do so I guess that you're more "trendy" than you claim.

Anyway, it is bad enough to hear someone cry and make stupid comments about material objects. This quote "Can I turn the "new" car back to the insurance company and get the truck back when it comes back?" is priceless btw.

All those threads about "punk this" and "punk that" and you still don't have a clue.

I wish you the best, but I also hope that one day you wake up and notice the real struggles and suffering that people all around face. Maybe if you were better educated or at least traveled more this thread of yours would have been made in a different tone.

Anyway, good luck finding the "bestest" car a kid (22 yrs. old) can ever have.

Punk rawk is so good these days people in 1977 could only wish they were my age right now. I'm a real punk rocker with a straight edge life style and a real rebel when it comes to cars. My truck was the best there ever was and even the ricers knew that.
