How about Merc offering the "base" marauder, and the "Marauder 429" with 429 supercharged ponies and a REALLY cool new badge? I tried to get a message to mercury corporate that if they offered this, I would buy one, until then I will wait.

I like the sound of "marauder429" is has such a nice ring to it. I want to be able to blow the doors off my brother's acura, and fit more people in the car to ride along to witness the even first hand!!!!

Welcome to the site.

We would all love to see a factory High performance model of the Marauder. But, it is not in the cards.

Besides, I am certain you would spend more from the factory than doing it your self via DR or Trilogy. AND I am sure you will get more personal attention from either one and be able to specify your own stuff in the package.

That's why they call it customizing. :D

Of course, if the factory offered the SC it would have to be covered under warranty . . ..

Are we sure that there will be no factory supercharger or anything like that? Should I just give up on waiting for the car I really want? Should I start hoping that 2005 Montego comes to fuition?

If it was from the factory, it coudl be on the cover of all the car mags as the "fastest4 door on the planet" or something to that effect. Sure anybody can put a blower on a car, but this is why factory special cars are more prized by some of us than a tuned-up aftermarket car.

A factory Supercharged Marauder would be wonderful, but it's not going to happen.

It took SVT to put a Super charger on the Mustang. The Mustang is a hot seller. Marauder is not. And, the car is done after the 04 model year.

At the price they would have to be sold for, if they built 5, they will sell. IF they build 50, they may sell, if they build 500, they won't all sell.

I would be VERY VERY suprised if they did.

Trilogy will be the closest you'll get to factory. For what I've read they have a deal with Ford Motorsports. So that will be a ford product, but still not keeping the warrenty intact.

429 sounds nice...
429 SCJ sounds even better!

In today's supercharged applications, instead of Super Cobra Jet it could refer to Super-Charged-Jet or something similar.

Just figured I would throw out my 2 cents. I choose too leave mine as just MARUADER!!!!!!!!

And thinking of what they were saying in their car as I left them behind. It was big, BLACK and fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Nitro!! I will do sum mods as most will do. But the name remains the same!!!!!!!!!!

No stealing of smiles are allowed!!!!!!!
