Air Filter Oil

Any alternative oils for the modified air filter media. ?

Is everyone using K&N cleaner and re-charge?

Is the oil a neccessary addition?

I have the JLT and have used it on and off, but never oiled it. I am thinking of re-installing it, but want to know if it has to be oiled, and what oil choices I there are.

it definitly needs oil. thats is what holds the fine pieces of dust and what not in the filter and not your engine

i used the K&N filtercharger cleaner stuff on my jlt this last week, it worked great... i let the oil soak into the filter overnight before i started it so the MAF sensor didnt get covered in oil.
