MercuryMarauder.net Community,

The amount of valuable information here is awesome, but finding the right post can be a daunting task, especially for new members. As we grow and learn more about this car, it'd be wonderful to have an easy way to collect and present our findings. Personally, I believe a wiki is the right tool for the job and a perfect complement to MercuryMarauder.net. So, after considering one for some time now, I finally went forward with it and have established https://www.MyMarauder.com/.

I'm open to ideas about how we can use the wiki (and site), but do NOT want it to be in contention with MercuryMarauder.net. With the help of others, I will redirect discussions to the MercuryMarauder.net forums and try to keep wiki content factual (and free of libel). My goal is to collect information about vehicle specifications, aftermarket products, maintenance routines, etc. For a good example, take a look at http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/350Z-TECH.

The MyMarauder.com site is running the same software as Wikipedia (i.e., MediaWiki) in hopes that it will be easy to use. For now, registration is open, but I need to confirm accounts and will try to do so quickly. When you register, you must provide your MercuryMarauder.net account ID in the biography field to help me confirm your identity. If you run into any problems, please do not hesitate to PM me.

Again, I appreciate your help in keeping the MyMarauder.com wiki objective and hope it will be a great tool for the MercuryMarauder.net community.

I posted the fuel filter change procedure on the MyMarauder.com wiki, including pictures. I'd like to use this as a template for maintenance-related articles. Please provide constructive feedback.

Red - Outstanding idea and incredible job! I had the same thoughts about a light-duty reference about the Marauder so I also recently began putting a site together in some of my free time. I'm embarrassed about mine - the wiki format you chose lends itself to excellent structure and info presentation. I don't think there could be any site contention issues, especially since we all love our rides and the more quality sites there are that promote the Marauder, the better.

I'd love to help however I can; the site should be submitted to search engine crawlers so it starts to come up when folks perform web searches (can take a month or two to show - but no matter, it costs nothing but some time):

http://www.google.com/addurl/
http://www.submit-it.com/msnsubmit.htm
http://submit.search.yahoo.com/
http://pages.alexa.com/help/webmasters/index.html#crawl_site

It helps to prepare a good site description and extensive "key-word" list in advance and then cut and past the information to the above submittal sites.

:agree: I was hoping this would be the sentiment, but decided to state my intentions clearly so there'd be no confusion.

I appreciate any help you can provide! Would you mind making an initial submission for MyMarauder.com? You can use the categories from the front page for keywords.

Also, to anyone who has some spare time, I'm looking to start building up the specifications section. I know there's lots of information out there, so if you can help, please let me know. Thanks! :)

:) I'm on it - I'll make this happen ASAP.

I have a pile of embarrassingly unorganized specs that anyone can copy from to start, if it helps - http://www.mercurymarauderinfo.com/clickhereformenuhome/specifications.html

- there are also a ton of reference articles that have tech spec. listings; should be easy to get basic numbers - its the detail stuff that will definately take some time.

Excellent start! This will feed nicely into the specs section.

To those who are registered, any volunteers? :D

Tony, great to hear from you! You can sign up for the wiki at:

Please include your MM.net screenname in the bio so I can identify you and confirm your account.

The headers, exhaust, and intake spacer made a world of difference! After tuning, I made 300hp at the wheels (a 40hp increase). Thanks for all your help!
