View Full Version : Spy Shots 2009 Camaro

While on Duty I was advised of 3 2009 Chevrolet Camaros at a local hotel. They are apparently mules with all the body panels. I missed the first 2 as they left the area but caught this last one. I was allowed to take pictures but not of the interior. The interior has a nice gauge cluster in the center and form fitting seats. There was a ton of data logging type equipment on the front seat.

pretty sharp looking but it struck me a small.

It looks like it is thinking about transforming...the one from the movie looked smoother...Hell I dont know!

Sorry, but it looks kinda like a Caddy. I would get the Challenger 1st.

Dunno, but the sculpted rear reminds me of the Avanti, especially the quarters. I think it's gonna make quite a splash. Thanks for posting the photos.:)

Sorry, but it looks kinda like a Caddy. I would get the Challenger 1st.

Something about it just does not hit me right. Maybe it is the shadow from the trees. It looks like it is grinning at you.

thats cause it was... i saw the Bumblebee at a car show in Boston...

i like this fron end much better, the movie car had some ugly lights (concept)

Nice catch of an interesting car.
Seen from far, it looks like a Japanese thing. And at first sight, the Challenger looks much more promising...

I like the performance #'s and it's interesting styling. I think there are some faults to it but they're minor and I can see the aftermarket making this car look great just like the Mustang.

It's ok...we'll get a better feel for it when it hit's the streets. It's awesome that the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger will be on the streets. I was reading a Motor Trend article the other day where Ford will be experimenting with a V6 twin turbo for the Mustang GT to meet rising MPG demands by 2012. So grab a V8 while you can.

I liked the headlights on the concept, the test mule headlights look like 2 fog tiny fog lamps bolted to a piece of plastic.

I haven't seen one in person yet but Im not crazy about it from the pics. My wish list right now is either a Challenger R/T (has to be purple) with a manual trans or one of the G8 variants (GXP (400+ hp!)or maybe even the El Camino one).

That looks much worse than the decent looking show car... the chopped top taillights and those little headlights look like *****!

I REALLY don't like the front end/grille area at all.

I think that the Mustang and the new Challenger are MUCH BETTER representations of retrostyling.

Maybe that's why Ford....and now Dodge can't keep either one on the lots for very long.

Chevy....Good luck on the release of the ****ly Camaro to a $4.00/gal recession shy public!
