With me turning 15, I'm saving up my money for my first car, anything under 10k I know I want V8 RWD that means anything from a Marauder to a Duramax. I need it to be reliable, fast would be good, but not too fast

I have some options
1. 5.0 Foxbody cheap with bolt ons can be scary fast
2. 1996-2001 Dodge Ram with a 5.9 4x4 Gas Hogs but I love them the hard part is finding one is decent condition
3. Lincoln Mark VIII pretty much a two door marauder except with a cast iron block

(If I'm lucky my dad might hand over the keys to the MM but thats in a few years when I graduate...but for now I need something to hold me and use as a DD that'll last for a few years, and can take my abuse)

Any suggestions?

If I had the money it'd get a Perfect Mint 2004 300B with monroof spoiler and off course slap a trilogy in it or a Brand New Duramax and drop a Dana 60 in there (I needa stop day dreaming)

You could afford a higher mileage MM if you don't mind driving a larger sedan. Then save up for the Trilogy later.

Good luck finding a 2004 300B Marauder!! They are as elusive as the 'police interceptor' marauder;)

I would go with a mustang as well, you can find parts anywhere and mechanics everywhere can work on the fox bodies, you will have plently of extra money for maintenance items as well.

Before you get a car, take your abuse out on your bike.

My First car was a Mustang too.

I don't miss my Mustang anymore, now that I have my Marauder.

Sounds like you need a Marauder.

Have a carfax and Oasis run for you from RoyLpita and MarauderMark.

04 300A (all 04's are 300A's).

Get a CVPI at auction, save up the rest of your cash towards mods on the Marauder down the road.

all 04's are considered 300A's but they are all like 300B's If this makes sense.

Grandpa here. :geezer:
DO NOT BUY A 5.0 FOX. It's by far, too much car for an inexperienced driver to handle.
Get a pickup, although for longevity's sake, an F-150 might be a better choice.
Crown Vic. is another safe, low dollar starter car, but as a parent/grandparent I don't like the idea of your being able to get 5 other guys in the thing helping you find ways to get into trouble.
The PU has enough room for you and the GF, that's about right. :D

Have to agree with Mike Poore about the risk of driving a powerful car with your inexperience and your natural lack of self control and good judgement. You run a very high risk of killing someone or yourself in an auto accident. Don't risk you life and your future. Get something you can enjoy, like a pickup. Best of luck!

Yeah, all we need is another Marauder totaled!

V8? RWD? Not 'too fast'?

Consider an older Lincoln LS.

^^^ +1 Bump ^^^

I "potty-trained" on a 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Custom Cruiser wagon (with a bored out Chevy small block, of course). After a few years of--um--creative driving in that boat, I was prepared far better behind the wheel of many vehicles. CVPI is a great option, and all your peers will be impressed when they find out you have a cop car.
