Anyone ever use these? I need opinions and suggestions for em.. I researched like crazy for a alternative to the BF's and this is what I came up with.. Everything i read as far as reviews are good. But why are they so much cheaper and so much better? Im looking for a good sticky tire that handles well in wet and dry.

No experience with the Kuhmo's, and I've not heard anything that makes me want to buy them. The Goodyear GS-D3, Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position, and Michelin PS2 have all received excellent reviews for wet traction. Be sure to match your load index and sizes accordingly.

When i bought my thunderbolt, It ahd kuhmo ecstas. I was pretty happy with them, other than the treadwear. Dry traction was great, wet traction...not so much, but i would still recommend them for the price. When i replaced them, i bought goodyear eagle rs-a's. I am much happier with them. Excellent wet traction, and the ride quality felt to improve.

I have a set on my vette they ride ok. They take a long time to warm up so they ride flat sided for a while. They do handle well wet or dry and seem to be wearing good. For 69 dollars each(Pep Boy's) I couldn't lose.:burnout:

I run these on my daily driver MM in the winter time. I put on 235/50's all the way around for the last two years. We've had over 100 inches both years and the car only sat one time both years. So I have nothing but good things to say about a tire that is a good dry tire, good in the rain and while they are not snow tires they will get you around okay. I think I paid $120 ea two years ago.

They are a Grand Touring tire I believe, not really suited for the Marauder. I put them on my wife's 05 Grand Prix and they did improve the handling, braking and acceleration a little bit. Can't really say how they wear since she does very little mileage, only put on about 8k miles since August 2005 when we bought it.

FWIW, I ran ECSTA Supra 712s on my fully modded ZX3 and they were a outstanding tire for that application.

That's funny I had the same tires on my Focus wrapping 17" SVT wheels, very good tired for tuner cars.

Great minds think alike :D Mine were on Rage Race 10s, one of the lightest wheels available at the time. Were you on the "jet" ?

Indeed!, I ghosted around on the "jet" but never joined. Kumho's were a really good tire, I had hit a big pot hole and bent my rim, had no clue for 2 weeks that I was running on a flat tire and the tire still held up without a problem, I was running 225/40-17 series.

I have been running the Kuhmos on my car for some time now. I am running the ECSTA 235/45 in the front and 245/50 on the rear. They are just a little lower profile than stock but keep the rake of the car about the same. No T/C issues or ABS ussues at all. I would have to say that they are better than OEM on dry roads but on wet roads I have not pushed them to the limit. I drive like a grandpa in the rain due to a hydroplane incodent when the car was brand new( to me ) with OEM tires. And Living in Las Vegas we get no rain.

Are you planning on using the same size tire all around? 235/50-18? Do you just need to replace front, rears or both?

Continental ContiExtremeContact (Ultra High Performance All-Season (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/types/uhpas.jsp))
245/45-18 $139 each http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ContiExtremeContact&partnum=445WR8CEC&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=2

Continental makes a good tire, I have them on my 89 5.0 (not that size), can barely get loose in 2nd gear like I always could with the Pireillis.

I went with this tire and I've beat the hell out of them in the wet, dry, and snow. They performed MUCH better than OEM and I feel comfortable with my daughter in my car with them on.
So far, they're wearing very well and as someone stated, they do take a little while to warm up when it's been parked for a day or two. NO worries to me as they are smooth and quiet within a few miles.
Give them a try and see what happens. Best case scenario, you'll love them. Middle case scenario, you'll be able to get a test drive/ return time frame. Worst case scenario, you can throw them on Ebay and get most of your cash back.

I ran the Kumho KH11s on my Mercedes, happy with everything except treadwear. The ASX is more of a Sport Compact/Sports car type tire. May not be suitable for a large and heavy car.

I got thoose Kumhos on my car. They are pretty good, my local tire shop talked me into getting them due to the low cost and the high treat rating. They aren't bad at all for a good street tire, fairly good in the rain. I don't know how good they are at the track though but for regular driving they are good.

thats what I wanted to hear.. I almost never get to really go to the track but as long as I can hopefully hook up for the occasional traffic like challange They work for me .. concidering they are about 200 bucks cheaper for the set then any other tire with there ratings..
