I'm considering buying the Enkei Performance LS-5 rims from Tire Rack. Does anyone have experience with this brand? On hard acceleration I don't want them to split apart. Appreciate any info before I make a purchase.

I just bought Enkei Phalenx rims for temporary drag wheels until the wheels I want are off backorder. Honestly, I'm not wild about 3-piece rims. I'll post up more details later this week, after I try them at the track.

My 85 Saleen is one of only 4 85s that came with Enkei wheels (don't remember which model they are). Only problem I have had is that the center caps come loose after a while (and replacements are hard to find). No problems at all with the wheels. I used to autocross that car, so they did get stressed.

Enkei was a very big and popular brand back in the day. As I understand it, they are still the OEM for Toyota.

As with any mfg, I'm sure they have 'levels' of product.

I've had several sets of Enkei rims over the years and have never had issue. Had one set on several cars for nearly a dozen years!!!!

Nice. Good offset, too. Black or chrome?

I try to help as much as I can... If I often wonder and go to look something up... I figure... why not put it up for others and save them the time I had to waste!!http://farm1.static.flickr.com/33/65389567_9737b2a6b0.jpg

I am unaware of a wheel that is better in quality or strength than the OEM Alcoa Forged Alloy.

If you know of one let me know.

It reminds me of the Porsche OEM Forged. For years people tried to find an AM that was better w/o success.

Exactly the reason I started the Marauder wiki (MyMarauder.com)! Interested in helping out?
