It's got a CV rear bumper not Marauder?

Pictures suck. Cant tell if it's FIT. Piping looks FIT and Greg DID sell 2 kits to a movie house.

Could be the movie house needed a FAST and powerful stunt cop car?

The pics he took are probably fine, I had Autotrader do this to me awhile back when I was selling a car before owning my MM. I sent in nice pics and they got posted like that...I had to repost them.

Also it does say in the description it's a procharger.

Price is too high regardless. I wonder if the seller has the original rims.

Hmmmm....it would be very odd. I currently work in the film industry as a driver, and did "picture vehicle wrangling". (Hey, I didn't make the title up, I just did it!) There is no logical reason for any film to ever make a car like that. Blowers/turbos are usually fabbed fakes, and nobody would ever see the forged parts/Kooks etc. Unless the whole movie was centered around this car, it seems very very strange. CVPI's are a dime a dozen, can be supercharged to go almost as fast.

Also, if it was the feature car, you'd probably have more than two. Waaaay back in the day, I wrangled for a Jean Claude VanDamme movie called "Replicant". We had to build FIVE identical ambulances + 2 rolling camera rigs, 3 police Intrepids, because they were the feature vehicles. They were all pieces of crap. I think the last one I wrangled on before it got boring (how many CVPI's can you blow up in a lifetime?) was Ben Affleck's "Paycheck". We had 5 identicals of his BMW bike, 20 CVPIs, 5 Suburbans, 6 Caprice 9c1s etc etc...

Picture vehicles are considered expendables, like office supplies. Nobody would put that $$$ into a picture car that was stunted (things regularly get trashed, sometimes by mistake), so I'm at a loss on this one. Not buying the picture car explanation though. Just not economically feasable. hmmm...if I can post a phot in my gallery, I'll put up some movie stuff.

No Rich it is, since Aaron had brought that up, this MM was for sale over in NY must have been close to 8 months ago. Had the same features this one does, stated it was blown, but no motor pics.

I've got some strong suspicions about this car. Here's what I think:

A) this guy is a whacker (see http://www.hamsexy.com/cms/?p=960 for whacker definition and good story)

B) Since the car has a front MM facia, but no rear MM facia (and a trunk lid with a Ford oval on it), I'll bet a Carfax shows a solid rear hit to this vehicle. If this guy swapped out the Marauder pieces for those on purpose, he'd be an UBER-Whacker.

C) Picture car guys like to have a good promo vehicle. My company was called Pursuit Specialties, and we had all the latest toys to dazzle the Transport Coordinators. You show 'em your hot car, they think the tired old CVPIs you have are the same thing mechanically. Not a bait and switch, just a big carrot, and knowledge that you CAN provide something special if the need (and the $$) arises.

D) I'd look into the original titling state. This isn't a Katrina hold-over, is it?

So why not any aire dates? Guys in the biz do that stuff all the time. "Yeah, I gotta have this (insert product here) for this HUGE movie, give you tons of publicity, I'm doing 5 more movies after this one, you can be my main supplier....I just need a deal on this first movie, though, the budget is kinda tight."

Then the go put the item on their own car, or buy it themselves and rent it to the show for nearly the full amount....blah blah blah....

"The music/film business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

I just searched the vin number(i am a ford tech) and it came back as an 03 grand marquis with a 4.6DOHC engine and a 4r70w transmission. which would be????you guessed it, a marauder. the 03's come up as a grand marquis on oasis reports and what not...not real sure what 04's come up as. i must say what a waste of a good MM to be cloned into a cv
