Finally installed (myself) the missing insulators under hood area where firewall meets fender. Man, your talking about a major undertaking with plenty of cuts and blood to prove the job was well done. At least I have no scratches on the car to prove it was done at the dealer. Part numbers for these are: Drivers side #2W7Z-5402688-AA and P***enger side #3W7Z-5402688-AB
The one on P*** side butts up net to outside of the A/C blower motor and is clearly visible, and the other one is directly across from it on the Drivers side. There purpose is to keep dirt, water, noise, and heat from entering into vehicle. If your not sure how to locate, give dealer part numbers and they will show you. Sorry I don't have a digital camera!

AM I to understand that our MM's did not come with these already installed to prevent that stuff from entering the vehicle..

Marauderman, some have the insulators and some don't. Mine didn't but a friend of mine did so everyone needs to check their own vehicle. I also visited a dealer who still has a 300A on the lot and found that the p*** side had the insulator and not the other side. You Go Figure! They are all suppose to have them, just check out the Marquis's and you'll see them...

Grrr... mine appear to be missing too. Now I need to decide if they are worth the pain to install them.

What I didn't see so I assumed to be the missing insulator is the big grey/silver piece in the photo.
Hope this helped,

I circled the part I did not see in my car. Hope this is what we are talking about.

Guys, you are 100 per cent correct. Labor operations calls for removal of fenders and fender well shields to re-install, but I got mine in without doing this and don't ask me how..... I'm still bleeding from the toes up.
