If I didn't have my Marauder.

Not the best year, but special for me.

And not perfect either, but very very close.

When I was younger, I went on a fishing trip to BC (Grand Parents place) on the Frazer river. My Dad grew up with all the cousins in the area as part of the fishing community out there. (commercial Gill netting mostly) We were heading back after a successful fishing trip, although it was interupted by me getting to close to my cousin and getting hit by a gaff hook, just under my eye.

It bleed everywhere and hurt quite a bit. But the needle for the freezing was the worst part. I had to get 3 shots in my eye and had to keep my eye open and looking at the needle as the doctor poked me in the eye socket.

Anyway when returning, in our friends Toyota Supra, this was back in the early 80's. We pulled into a Diner and as we came out the most magnificent car I have ever seen just floated into the parking lot and parked not 15 feet away from me. It was a Light blue Rolls Royce. Tan leather and absolutely amazing. The very best holiday car. Ever since then I have always had the dream to own one.

This one, is almost a perfect representation of that car. The headlights a different, the one from my youth had the single square lights and may have been a silver spur, might have been a spirit I didn't pay attention to such things back then.

Now the 81 year wasn't a great car, the 87-90 Model years are much better but I would still need it to be this amazing light blue.

If I had a choice between this and my marauder, it would be a very tough descision. I won't sell or trade my Marauder for this now, but should I find a perfect example it would be my next car.

A true dream car, a dream just waiting to come true.

It is not mine, yet.

but the Rolls and Bentley of the time had 6.75litre engines and some had the light and other the full turbo option.
6750 / 16.44 = 410/411 cubic inches.
BHP was adequate and adequate plus 35% and adequate plus 70%.

I believe adequate was around 300.

Torque was around 400 to 800 depending on model.

Speed is/was a bit faster than a Towncar to a bit slower than a Lightning.

This is for the 81 to 94 models.

I have been driven one (it was given to me as a courtesy car) during 3 weeks. I may tell you that it was like nothing else - at the beginning. But I got used to it very - very quickly.

I was shocked by 2 things :
* on the highway, it feels like 60 mph when it goes actually at 110 mph
* mpg was between 12 to 15

The Turbo version get 11MPG while the Aston Martin Lagonda gets the almighty 9mpg.
