This weekend I was over at Richs house (magindat) We got alot done. He coached me through my first oil change and plug change. After his procharger install he sent me his old denso plugs(16,000 miles on 'em) as a thanks for helpin. I was a little hesitant to do it myself, so he showed me the way. While I was there, I saved a little money on shipping and picked up his original radiator cover and air dam that he was selling, diamond plate of course. So we got those put on. He mentioned the embroidery he has been doing for other members, and I remember reading the posts and seeing the pics. I saw his close up, and liked very much. I was a little concerned about altering my car for resale value, so we did a little quid pro quo and ordered my own 'custom' head rests. I should get them by the end of this week and will share pics when I get 'em. Here are some pics of my official magindat radiator cover and air dam.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that three or four of the plugs we pulled out from the drivers side were oily and had been running rich. The passenger side plugs were dry and burnt. This is evidence of our head cooling unevenness. Also, rich looked down at my battery and noticed that the plastic cap on the negative terminal was still on!! So, that means that the previous owner installed the battery without removing it, and clamped on the negative cable. The negative side was not even making contact:eek: The battery brand is Kirkland, which is a private label brand of either sams club or costco, so I know it wasn't done at the dealer. When I got home, the tripometer was at 190 miles and the fuel level was right at half!! So between the plugs and the battery I am getting better mileage now. And trust me, I wasn't doing 55 on the way home;)

Sure it wasn't the BOOST (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=43010) helping your mileage?!

Well, as with any scientific experiment, you must isolate each variable in order to achieve conclusive results. So, you may be correct. That boost sure seemed to help when I was passing peolple on FL-70 West:burnout:Got right around em'.;)
