No not that Passion

My true passion is for houses.

Secondly I like Cars, mainly My Marauder and a few others.

Anyway, just I was just wondering if we share the same idea for living space as we do for car space.

Anonimously lets take a poll.

How big is your house, apartment, condo, etc...

My home is just a little under 2500 sqft, not including the basement. We're just in the process of taking it over and renovating... We're actually living in the basement while we work on the upstairs. It's our first home (just married in October), and should keep us busy (and broke) for years to come;).

I'm really hopeful that it'll be ready for a BBQ in the summer (the backyard is terribly neglected, and lacks grass or any finishing touches)...

I built homes for many years, till I got too old, and that is My true passion, I've designed many, I've never built, and wished I had, never quite right. I've handicap (not politically correct, sorry) remodeled, Etc. I live in about 1800 sq. ft., I would think that it would be about average, not including basements.

I built a 7500 sq. ft. house for a local couple, and asked why 7500' and they said they were retiring, kids in college, and were downsizing from 10,500. That floored me!!!!!!!!!

I have 4600sq/ft, 5Br, 3 Ba. its pretty big, but we plan to retire here, and want room for visiting kids/grandkids. the kids have their own living room at the far end of the house, so they can PS3/wii to their hearts delight and not disturb everybody. its also a very efficient berm home that costs very little to heat and cool, so its actually cheaper than the 1800 sq/ft house we left in california.

My sisters each have 4.5K sqft houses.

One in Canada is still in the process of finishing her basement which will add another 2K sqft. She has an unbeliveable number of bathrooms though.

The other lives in Australia and thus doesn't have a basement.

You could sell the LSE and buy a trailer to tow behind the Marauder.

We bought a country cottage in New Jersey while we were living in Manhattan, to get away from it all on the weekends. It really was like a mini vacation; no phone, no mail, just swimming in the river, antiquing, going to barn auctions, gardening, and sitting out on the patio with a frozen Margarita watching the sunset. Then we moved out of Manhattan and into our cottage while we househunted.Well, it's been a few years now and we're still here. We love the place, our neighbors are great, the view is wonderful but the house was never ment to be a full time home. NO CLOSETS!!!!! We have 2 bedrooms/2 baths but the guestroom has become my "walk in closet". My dream is to have REAL closets and plenty of guestrooms and baths so our family/friends can come and stay in comfort. (and I won't have to relocate my clothes).

If you are house shopping my one of my favourite house design firms is Sater Design. http://www.saterdesign.com/

Great houses, some way over most budgets but great ideas too. Not just a box with squares.
