I dont remember that one having a hood scoop, plus that one was off the ground more. This one looks to have been lowered.

I think the thing is pretty *****in the way it is. Best "red" MM I've seen, why does everyone have to be so similar, he wanted to stand out from the rest of of us as far as the wheels go. They have an interesting design and I think they fill the wheel wells nicely.

I find that paint and wheels not so very attractive, but to each his/her own...I mean I think a "Cobra" emblem on an iconic Marauder is dumb! Kinda like puting an oldsmobile rocket ship on a Chevelle or a GTO. At least his thought is somewhat "original" if not totally over the top.

The lower part of the bumper colored in (or is something mounted there?), makes it look like a clown's mouth. The headlights are like dark eyes, the grill a red nose, and the rest like red hair !

guys i can tell u how the hood was made. You see you have an OEM hood with a scoop that has been put together and a little bit of body filler to get the lines right, but i doubt that this was done the right way and they made a hood with the scoop built in. I made a small replica hood to put my production number on it and it took for ever to get the lines right on that 3'x3' hood. Kinda having problems painting MARAUDER on it to match the rear bumber text. A good body shop could make a scoop that would be made close to correct or get someone to make a fiber glass mold that way you could make alot of them and have a lighter weight hood. If you want a scoop go with the glass!!!

Just wanted to let anybody know that was curious that the hood was made by a collision shop in Detroit called De-Tech auto collision but they want like $2000 :eek: for it painted any color you want, rediculous I know.

You can have any scoop you want that is close to the angle of our hoods, i'm proof of that.

For me, i just used one from my last project car that has been collecting dust for ten years in my shed, it was a perfect fit. However i'm not dumb enough to molest the original hood, so a $60 cop car hood from the junk yard did me good.

Use you imagination, most anything will "work". The next one i do i want to actually bend my own metal and mig it down, i am much better with a welder than fiberglass.
