Because this site is a GREAT resource!

Since I purchased the MM in 11-07 I have researched and done the following:
Lidio Tune-As others have stated, best first mod:D
Cleaned MAF
Re-aligned with car fixers Marauder SPec-helped with the steering wheel shimmy
Pulled off Front License Plate

Will be:
-Replacing the EATC temp control module-fan not blowing; intermitant problem-without this site, would have no clue otherwise; dealer wants $300; module is $75
-Replacing w/MTX 10"sub amp combo; stock blown.
-JLT CAI

KEEP THOSE TRHEADS GOIN:beer:

That's exactly why I did. I've only tuned so far, but without this site, I would be guessing and bumbling with the mods and not taking care of the clear coat. With it, I've got a good lookin MM and a rough timeline of my mods for the next year.

Get your flags.

Take it from a guy who's had close to the same amount of time both on the board as you and with the MM, and has so far gotten the JLT installed, along with UD pulleys (bought from a member), Stewart Water Pump (bought on advise from and soon to be installed with a member), 180 deg. T-stat, and proguard in the mail (from a site vendor), and a lidio tune in the near future, along with never ending information and advise that would otherwise have been unattainable or insanely costly; get those flags! :banana2:

Honestly, at this point, unless you are well known with like 1500 or more posts, flags are the only way I have off telling the difference between those who are serious about this hobby and those who are here to take what they can grab.

I really don't mind passing things along when I feel I know the recipient would do the same.

And then there are those of us who contributed $$ for years, and decided to not renew due to all the music polls and anal errrr... "pre-consensual surprise sex" jokes.

And those folks are 'known'. :D

My biggest need for a filter is to know who will 'pass it on' and who will just take and disappear. I like to see the sight grow as our 'central point', but I like to see our hobby grow as well!!!

Taking the time and $ to care enough to donate shows me a noob is serious and will participate. What other filter do I have? I like to help, but I don't like to be taken advantage of!!!

Oh, I agree with you there. I don't know how many single digit posters started threads titled 'difference between 300A and 300B', but I'm sure there are many. But I don't assume they will only post in that thread and never be heard of again. They have to be encouraged to catch the bug as we have.

Sometimes that means cutting and pasting a link to an old thread, and the necros that go with it. :)

Oh yeah, and I do that constantly.

I more talking about like how some of us will send surplus things to others for free or to help out of a jam. I'd like to do that with the noobs, too, but who knows if they'll just take and run? It's happened. Here. I never mentioned, just started to filter....
