These wheels are a GREAT fit for our cars. Someone should buy all four, keep 2 for drag radials and sell 2 NOW.

Uhhh, doesn't the GT500 have the Tremec 6 speed? Why does it say 5 speed?....

Hmm I wonder how much he's looking for the rims.

Yeah, I noticed that. Figured it was a clone. But, if he has the actual rims and they're a good deal, some one here should buy them!

I bought a 08 GT-500 in November and I guess that makes mine one more rare. This one has a bunch of go faster mods which in my mind, destined it for destruction anyways. In this area, it seams like teenagers (the ones with wealthy parents) are the ones who modify the 03 up Cobras and they wind of blowing the motor apart, running it off the road, and/or just wrecking it. Expensive mistakes. Anyways, I hate to say it, but I had to sell my Marauder (to my parents who wouldn't let me trade it because they wanted it) to afford the new payments. I got to drive them somewhere the other day and I sure miss the Marauder. I think I enjoyed driving my Marauder more than the Shelby. Probably because I am always kind of uneasy when I am in the Shelby. It drive by wire so it has to me, not quite a lag, but it doesn't accelerate as quickly as it could. The power is there, but it seams to be a little lighter on the throttle than I would be with an actual throttle cable. When it winds up, it likes to brake that back end loose. Its easy to loose control, and I can see how someone, especially a rookie, wrecked one. All that said, its still a lot of fun to drive. Now you know why I don't spend as much time on here as I used to.

opps, I wasn't ready to post that yet. I didn't pay that close attention at first. I was going to add that the early transmissions had a clutch sticking problem due to lack of lube on the input shaft. That lead to incomplete release of the clutch and therefore many people were having synchro's go very quickly. Ford tended to blame it on the driver and people often had a heck of a time getting Ford to pay for the work. Someone could have easily swaped out for the good ol' 5 speed for its reliability or availablity. Also, the stock rear end according to what I have read is a 3.31. I had a couple guys argue with me at the last Mustang club meeting. Ford's literature and website and other websites all say 3.31. I haven't actually crawled under it and checked the tag though, but I think its 3.31. A common mod on mustangs is to go to 3.73, but it all makes you think.

For anyone that's looking, we just got one in here at our yard.

EVERYTHING is still there, it was stolen from the dealer lot and motor and tranny were taken. EVERYTHING else is still on the vehicle. EVEN THE FLOOR MATS ARE STILL IN THE PLASTIC.

interested in parts? (everything is perfect...)

call Adam, 1-800-343-6122 ext. 214

Steve I just got off the phone with Adam, I wanted the rims, someone else already beat me to them :(. They beat them from you too since you wanted them as well. Good luck with the brakes!

I passed, they are all yours.

For those interested, the Brakes are Brembo's w/ a 14" Caliper, and the Stock Wheel is 19".

Stock Shelby's are 18's. The wheel's are gone anyway, and I don't feel like messing around "making" these brakes work.

He mis-informed you. lol, last night I told him personally they were 18's, he was unsure of the size.

I was wondering the same thing with the brakes. I bought a Marauder front suspension a while back to graft to a 49 F-1 and it didn't come with any brakes. These Brembo brakes work incredibly well. I read somewhere they bolt right on the 05 up mustangs. I bet someone can come up with an adaptor bracket.

Just gotta find someone with hardened steel. I could have my buddy probably make one, but I'm not going to have just regular steel on there.

the Stock Wheel is 19"

Incorrect, unless this is a clone car and these are replica wheels.

Stock Shelby's are 18's.

Correct. See Ford Racing Parts' website (http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField= 9485).

The wheels from the gt500 we have are in fact 18's. I looked at them today. The rear tires are HUGE. It's the real deal.

Jarod...you know it's really easy to harden steel, right? We did it at the steel shop i worked for all the time...YOU WON'T FIND A BETTER DEAL ON THESE! i heard what the dealer charges....

Aaron I talked to someone and they said it's physically impossible to make them fit, otherwise I'd have them already.

On the front or rear? They should fit just fine on the rear with the right tire, unless your car is lowered. .5 inch less inner clearance, 1 inch less outer clearance.

The rotor hats are completely different, the Shelby axle is not as wide as ours.

welcome to the Mustang club. Twitchy car with twitchy rear end. Fun to drive once you get used to it, but if you make a mistake, and many many people do, it will cost you.

I could see this guy, parting this car out, to have floored it going around a corner and hit something. I've seen many a Mustang do it.

I drove my Cobra for 17 years. I really do not miss it anymore, now that i have my Marauder.

Ah, was thinking you were still talking about the wheels since Thunderbolt mentioned he had some in the post above yours.
