So I know it is a TV, but I got a good price and was wondering if it really would work as a Computer Monitor.

Bit big, but I have a pair of 15" LCD's right now. They are too small.

I was looking at a 24" but for full 1080P it is also too small.

Now I don't really need another TV, I have my Second (now Fourth) replaced Projector again. Sony finally returned it and the place I bought it from gave me a replacement instead. Full warranty and everything.

I have two projectors now.

I want to put a good HD TV in my living room, but I also need a better Monitor. This will do up to wide XGA in PC mode.
1280 x 768, or even 1360 x 768, plus others.

I'm just worried it is too big.

What do you think?

Been thinking aobut it and it probably isn't a good idea.

Maybe I should get it as a TV though.

You're thinking of using this for a computer monitor??? How far back do you plan to sit?

Personally, I wouldn't get a projection TV for any purpose (as ChiTownMaraud3r eluded to, they are all but dead)... The shear size makes this a questionable solution. You need to sit about 10 feet back due to the screen size, and then there's the amount of space taken up by the unit, itself (left to right and front to back)...

Have you ever connected a computer to an HDTV, before? Great for watching movies, so-so for surfing, but down-right terrible for any "computer use" such as working on a Word document...

Flat panels havel come a long way in the last few years... I'd go that route, if I had to have a monster monitor...

Yeah I think you are right.

I have found a 24" LCD I think I will spring for instead.

thanks for the input.

Well I'm watching this on my new Soyo Topaz S 24" LCD.

1920x1200 Display.

1920x1200 is huge.

I'm using 125% text size so I can see everything and except for some tiny menu text everything is fantastic.

Plug and Play.

Same as this one, only mine is 3ms not 6ms.
