It's been a little over two weeks and about two thousand miles since I picked up Silverback from Reinhart Automotive respendant with a new NOVI 1200 SL supercharger kit.

I would like to share my initial experience with this system and the workmanship of Reinhart Automotive personnel, from Dennis the owner to Jacky the office manager to the technicians that turned the wrenches.

The kit is a non-intercooled version putting out about 10 LBS of boost. Some of the features are: the S/C is self lubricating, new injectors and new GT fuel pump, belt and PCV system.

The installation was unique in that Dennis wanted to have a straighter shot from the S/C (power pipe) to the throttle body. The effect is a more smooth and pleasing appearance.

The Reinhart team went the extral mile and powered coated the pipes to match the silver birch of the car and plummed-in my old nitrous system with new jets and fabricated a new air box.

Comments from folks who see the engine bay for the first time range from OMG to WOW to Holy Induction, Batman and other similiar exclamations of admiration.

The installation is excellent, no pieces bent, broken or left unconnected. no leaks.

Dennis completed the tuning starting at the dyno in his shop in Florida to the parking lot at the hotel in Louisville after 600 miles of road testing and operation. All said and done the power is 425 RWHP with over 400 LBS of torque.

Driving the car is a new experience, power on demand that doesn't seem to quit, docile street operation and believe it or not better gas mileage both in town and on the highway. Boost comes on gently but noticeable, like an invisible push.

So dear friends, I'm very happy with this product and the price and the workmanship of Reinhart Automotive.

I recommend this sytem to those who want something more for the street and strip but need to watch the budget.

Happy Motoring,

Pat,

Good to hear that it works as good as it looks. I agree, Dennis did a top-notch installation on your system, one of the cleanest set-ups I've seen.

Good luck and happy driving, we'll see you in St. Louis.
