Well, I decided to paint my calipers today. And while they look nice, I happened upon this as I was putting the wheels back on.
Bastardos!!! :mad2:
Good thing I start a new job tomorrow at a dealership where I can get it taken care of while I'm working.

Been there myself. Picked up screws in two different tires two weeks apart, in two entirely different locales last summer; just my luck.
Plugs held well, and got full mileage (for BFGs anyway) out of the tires, so at the end of the day, NBD.

While enroute to MVV in Hagerstown Md. in August, I picked up a nail in the same area on the outside. The service tech said it was unrepairable and I need a new Rear tire. I told him about the Nationwide backorder and he was not convinced and he said that he can get one in 30 mins. He got on the phone and 2-1/2 hours later he found out that I was right and he fixed the tire and I have had no problems with it even today.

You should have had him say in writting that it was unrepairable.
When they say they can't say in writting it is unrepairable, you have them repair it.
Would have saved you 2 1/2 hours.

I just painted them black. No emblems/wording or anything. I didn't take a pic because Im not sure if I like them yet. Givin it a couple days to see if they grow on me. Im thinkin I might switch to silver some time.:cool4:
As for the screw, 16 bucks to fix. Not too bad considering the price of a new tire.

I would have never repaired that tire. It is clearly in the "do not repair" area of the tire.

I'm not surprised that you found a Ranch in one of those huge tires! ;)

I picked up an entire utility knife in a tire once. It went all the way through and was rattling around inside.

How long was the screw? Was the tire leaking air? If it only went into "tread area) I'd just pull it out.
