Yea, it's only $40, but this is not a SIM game IMHO. NO upgrading, NO tuning, NO painting, nothing at all. Just purchase your vehicle, and go out racing. Graphics are incredible, game play is awesome, sounds are very realistic, but I was expecting some serious modifications. Guess I have to wait until the next one :(.

Isn't Prologue basically just an overglorified demo?

If it's not the real game, it should be labeled as not the real game. Guy at the store said it's the full 5. Not much of a car list either. Have 3 Fords to choose from, 2 Chevy's, and there's no Toyota. I'm missing my Supra.

If you are looking for a good driving game, Flatout 1 and 2 are great games.

GT5: Prologue is just a playable demo :(. Same thing happened last version - there was a crippled prologue version of that, too. I'm dying for some GT5, but I'll be waiting for the full version, and playing Forza2 on X360, until then...

If you beat the first 3 sections (A-B-C) you will open up the "tuner" menu. You can play with spring rates and such. This thing is best when played with the G25 wheel set. I have a vid on youtube showing the G25 6 speed w/ clutch rig I built a couple months ago. Just search stangracer89. You have to press the triangle button on the console right after the start to use the clutch with GT5P. The rest of the game should be available around Xmas or in portions via download. "They" have not decided yet. The online sucks because you can't set up private races with just your buddies. So you have some dip**** 12 yr old bashing you into rails. But I still love the game.

Thank you QWK SVT, I did not know this was just a demo. That explains the $40 cost. Do you know when the full GT5 will be released? Thanks stangracer, will be looking foward for the rest of it.

They are shooting for release of the full GT5 by Holidays 2008, but Polyphony Digital has warned they might slip into '09: http://www.developmag.com/news/29626/Polyphony-looks-to-PC-game-development

We might not have an MM in GT5P or GT5, but screwing around in a Ford GT will have to do..

The japanese developer behind the Gran Turismo series, Kazunori Yamauchi surprisingly owns 2 ford GTs along with a couple of jap cars. Anyone with the blu ray version(if you bought the game at a retail store, not downloaded) can watch the "beyond the apex" special feature video and he shows them there.

I was quite surprised to hear him say a Ford GT is his most favorite car-ever.:burnout:

The Ford GT IS amazing in GT5, seems much better than the GT4 version. It was the 2nd car I bought. Now to crank the boost up a bit....
