OK, I have to write a short 3-5 page research paper for school. It can be either a persuasive or infomrative paper. Given the relatively short length of the paper I thought I would do it on the "basics" of supercharging.

So, I was wondering if anyone had any good input on sources (books or websites) to use as quality sources for this type of paper?

Any thoughts and input is appreciated.

I have already gotten in "use google" and check Wikipedia input, but mostly what I am finding on there is threads on car forums which won't work very well as sources. And our instructor has advised that Wikipedia is not a valid source for a research paper.

Thanks,

Get a good engineering book on thermodynamics such as the aptly named "Applied Thermodynamics for Engineering Technologists", Eastop & McConkey. Mine is the 5th edition printed in 1993 by John Wiley and Sons, Inc., NY.
You can learn volumes (pun intended) about turbos and superchargers, intercoolers, aftercoolers, etc from this text.
Note: They are no doubt on about the tenth edition now. I'd save my money and buy used, though. The basic technology and fundamental principals have hardly changed in the last decade.
