Hello,

After searching and searching I finally found my Marauder. As I have said before in past posts, I once owned a 04 Marauder which was stolen. Due to some serious difficulties in finding a clean one, I had to go with a 03 with the 300A package and 45k miles. I hear mixed things about the early Marauders, but at this point im just glad to own one again. I have a few questions. The car needs (just as my 04 needed) a new paneling. The one I am speaking of is the paneling that holds into place the two gauges and cigarette lighter directly in front of the trans shifter. EVERY Marauder I have looked at including my 04 has had this problem. For some reason the finish on this plastic paneling peels off. What is up with this?? Also, as many of you have done as it looks on here, the gentlemen I bought the car from replaced the 2 back 6x9 speakers and factory amplifier. He put a set of pioneer speakers in and amplified them. I would like to make it all factory again. Any idea where I could get these items would be greatly appreciated. Thank You all again and it feels good to be home.

You will find people selling the speakers/sub/amp on this site or on ebay if you keep looking. You can also go on carpart.com which shows salvage yards across the country.

I've never heard of the finish peeling off the gauge pod, although a lot of them have the adhesive that holds the rubber strip at the top leach out and make a gooey mess on the front. That just cleans off with Goo-Gone or a similar product. You might try ordering some interior paint from the dealer...the Dark Charcoal I got to paint my pillar pod was a VERY close match, thought not exact.

Here's the bad news...if you want to buy a new one, I priced the gauge pod once a long time ago and it was $130 because Ford only sells it with the gauges included...couldn't get just the plastic panel alone. :shake:

Paint the gauge pod.
